View Full Version : Is anyone going to watch Euro 2008?

Barbarossa

Well then?

I don't think I can be arsed :dabs:

tralalala
06-04-2008, 11:10 AM
Actually I think it'll be a better tourney this time without Engerland.. Them arses never do well, and I always end up pissed off.. This time I can root for anyone so it might be good fun :)

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 11:12 AM
Why would I want to support a country other than my own?

tralalala
06-04-2008, 11:23 AM
Nah, what I meant was, you could have a better time watching it because you wouldn't be worried about your own country, as they were crap enough to not even qualify. :)

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 11:31 AM
But normally I care who wins. This time I won't. In previous tournaments even the games that don't involve England I care who wins, because the winners may have to play England later. That's not the case this time.

There's no other home nations to support.

I suppose I could fall back into hoping the teams that play against Germany or France will win :dabs:

Nope, I don't even care enough for that.

tralalala
06-04-2008, 11:44 AM
Moran, this way you can enjoy the footy rather than worry too much about the scores.. <_<

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 11:45 AM
Isn't that a bit like just watching training sessions :ghey:

tralalala
06-04-2008, 11:46 AM
Hardly, cos in these matches they're actually playing for something, cunt <_<

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 11:48 AM
But I don't care who wins, so what they're playing for is meaningless to me :fist:

tralalala
06-04-2008, 12:08 PM
At least you get to see stressless footy.. twit.

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 12:11 PM
I'll have to invent reasons to dislike one of the teams more than the other, or something else.

I'll probably end up supporting denmark again, if they are even in it :idunno:

tralalala
06-04-2008, 12:20 PM
How's about we all support the Czech Republic? Like, lowest odds for winning.. It'll be good fun :)

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 12:22 PM
I drew them in a sweepstake one year. I think they came second and I won some monies

tralalala
06-04-2008, 12:36 PM
Let's go for them again then :) 36:1 over here in Israel..

Something Else
06-04-2008, 01:36 PM
I'll watch a bit, if it happens to be on.
I won't be arranging my life around it like normal tho'.

''Portuguese champions Porto have been excluded from next season's Champions League over alleged bribery of referees in the 2003/04 season.''

Cheating, smarmy cunts.

Barbarossa
06-04-2008, 02:25 PM
Yeah, and the Portuguese are no better!

tralalala
06-04-2008, 02:33 PM
That's why we're gonna root for the Czechs!! :D

Shouldn't you actually spend some time in the tard section? Pretending to be a pretend
mod is a gross abuse of power. The word power being completely subjective.

I actually do roam it a bit for a while every day.. Mostly boring trades and "is this tracker more uber-l33t than this tracker?" polls.. Every now and again there's the odd Middleman thread, and that's about it.. So there. :)

tralalala
06-04-2008, 03:58 PM
Actually..

So there. :whoosh:

But yeah, I'm Canadian.

brotherdoobie
06-04-2008, 08:19 PM
Ah...French Canadian. You're a bit snippy today. I'm going to Mulder's place and eat ice cream and drink beer.

Well thunk of.. :) Though I'm not sure throat-AIDS is contagious through beer.. The orsumment in the alcohol sort of kills it on it's way to your liver if I'm not mistaken.

Actually now that I think of it, quit your moaning.. Your local beer pwnes the shit out of our local Maccabi Beer.. Tastes like Mulders throat-AIDS-infested-pish. True story.

Yeah, and the Portuguese are no better!
oh oh oh !
So the beefs are staying home this summer... now that's a shame! maybe with time they'll learn that their championship is only competitive due to the sheer number of foreigners, and not due to the english player quality.

anyway, i will miss my favourite team! I had good laughs with our matches against england all the last tournaments. We are like a travel company, we give you the ticket back home as soon as we meet you. :naughty:

Barbarossa
06-06-2008, 10:58 AM
Cretin. I was actually poking fun at referees :dabs:

BawA

its not like i dont support my country team, i like Argentina's football in general. there is joy in watching Argentina matches cuz of their attacking tactics and historical players.

Oh damn yes I'll be watching it :D

Unfortunately my team never made it but as gambler I will be betting like fuck on this as I've done for years.

I know it takes a few games to suss out the teams form but I fancy the Swiss to do it in the first game tomorrow. I had a nice bet on them but who knows, it's first few games so lets see.

I didn't bet on it outright yet, wait to see form of teams first.
