Kazaa Media Desktop is a free download with the costs of operation covered by legitimate sources. These are:

Content - payment for distribution of Rights Managed content (marked with Gold Icons).
Regular banner and pop advertising - within KMD and Kazaa.com (DoubleClick and Cydoor).
Sales of products and services - eg. BullGuard, MatchNet.
well, if you don't call cydoor spyware, then you can claim it's spyware-free...
But it still has popups and banners, and doesn't work as good as k++...

:D

Some web sites promote uncertified and hacked versions of KMD. However, these applications come from unreliable sources, and can remove functions, change your computer settings or otherwise cause computer problems. Install the certified Kazaa Media Desktop application, available from Kazaa.com or Download.com. Get the latest fully featured application.

they should make that:

... add functions, optimize your computer settings or otherwise improve your download experience ...
:D

If that was the case, then there would have been no reason for Kazaa Lite to have even existed in the first place ;)

Unfortunately, it's manipulation of the language, also known as 'raping the English language' and 'corporate bullshit' :D

since it does tell u in the EULA, it isnt w/o ur nolegde, so according 2 SN's definition, it isnt spyware.........
