View Full Version : Boycott theme parks!

Apparently most of the ones in the UK are run by the Tussauds Group. Every fucking summer I get talked into going to Alton Towers, and end up getting stuck in traffic jams, and then a queue for an hour or more at a time for each ride, with thousands of people MacDonalds wouldn't even employ. I get on at most 4/5 rides for my £25 or so quid (plus petrol, plus spending) and my 18 hour day, and I always leave feeling like I've been raped in my brain and my wallet. I can't believe anyone else can possibly enjoy the whole experience.

These cunts that run it ought to do it by pre-booking only and only sell enough tickets to ensure everyone has a good time, and until they do we should all boycott theme parks.

That is all :snooty:.

Does not having ever gone to one count as boycotting.

If so, then, done.

Mr. Mulder

i like the log flumes, do we have to boycott those as well? :emo:

Yes, you have to boycott those! :pinch:

Mr. Mulder

You can still use the monorail from car park to park entrance, because you don't have to pay to do that. In fact, such an act of rebelliousness is positively encouraged :yup:.

Squeamous

Ooooh, bad memories. I once got chased down the monorail platform by park security like a Brazilian in a terrorist crisis. Stupid old help desk bag with a hairy upper lip pigged me :fist:. Actually now I think about it this may be the root of my hatred .

Can we just go back and forward on it all day (or round and round) thus blocking other people getting to the park and causing them to also boycott the theme park.

I'm going to Cedar Point in two weeks, I'll start my boycott, after that.

I like the cut of your jib! We would need enough people to fill all the carriages of all the trains, and then we could have a sit-in.

I'll even sit in a whites only section of the monorail if you think it will help.

gheyest name of a rollercoaster ever, but This one blew my head off:

Rita - Queen of Speed

Hold onto your eyeballs as you're catapulted at tremendous speed, reaching 0 -100 in 2.5 seconds. You will come off tingling with excitement.

I used to work at Alton Towers when I was at uni. Apart from the after hours shenanigans (riding the rides pissed, turning them all up to full speed, puking a lot) it was a sucky place to work. Really horrible, and they deserve to be boycotted.

Although I prolly did deserve to get sacked after my small stint as a petty criminal liberating the cheap soft toys and selling them down Stoke market to supplement my criminally low wage.

Yeah I love that one too. Some thick chav mouthing off to his mate always ignores the 'head back' sign and ends up getting even more brain damage when it takes off :shifty:.

Alien5
06-08-2008, 12:19 AM
thats the thing, how can you prepare yourself for that kind of a ride, i had an hour or two of looking at chavs, listening to chavs and feeling like a total chav before i was strapped into rita queen of chavs, then i sat there for fucking 15 mins before the cunt-down. :dabs:

Squeamous
06-08-2008, 12:22 AM
And just as you turn your head to avoid the sunlight glinting off a pair of large gold hoop earrings it suddenly takes off? :yup:

:glag:

when we arrived there the last time, me and my mate got through the main turnstyle and ran off from all the people we went there with, it was just as the park opened, and we got our place in the queue for nemesis, then found the others, his gf wanted to kill him for that.

the worst thing was it was a hot day in july and i got chav burnt. :(

fuck! ive got work tomorow, i wish i was goin to chav-towers. :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray:

You're all mad. The best time to go to amusement parks, is when it's slightly raining, and the wait time is seriously reduced.

Everyone knows that.

lulz.

Good point, though. Especially if you intended to go on the flume ride anyways, like. Those tend to be my favourites.

Mr. Mulder

I'd nevar go on a ride that didn't have water on it, or wasn't like a virtual thing. True story.

I'm being coerced into going to "Chessington World of Adventures" in a couple of weeks, has anyone been there? What's it like

Obviously we're going on a weekday in schooltime, so we get in for half-price, or something equally as thrifty :busyman:
