Was just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to do 1TB buffer in a week on BMTV with a seedbox. I know its hard to seed on that site and even with a seedbox the smaller files dont last that long for upload.

Maybe during fall TV season, right now.. my guess is no. But i've never tried with a box on there so thats just a guess

probably not, depends what is uploaded, i would say no, but you might be lucky if you have a funking fast seedbox, with a lot of peers on the same LAN as you, but i highly doubt it

Yeah, thats what i thought, unless your able to cheat on the site. I have tried to seed with a seedbox but could barely get 40gb in a weeks time and it seemed like alot of work. Even with RSS i dont think it could happen

well you can if you have scene axxs and a bot uploader and upload non stop on a fast server gbit
and upload anything to do with tv shows..

Doubtful, especially right now as a lot of shows have ended for the season (or midseason, damn BSG)

that's so true. I've never used bitmetv because i have a few top 0day trackers, and they release the shows faster than bitmetv, and they have packs for all the back-catalogue of seasons. Unless I want to start watching something specialized like cooking shows or something there's really no need for a dedicated tv tracker..

right now Impossible imo ... i have used bitmetv with seedbox and getting that much buffer is unachievable ..... just like someone said in fall when all shows start you might be able to do it .........

1 tb in 7 days =142.8 gb in 24 hours
thats too much for 1 day in BMTV even with seedbox

With a gbit seedbox and a host of new retail full season TV DVDRs (at least 1 season a day of 6+ DVDs if you are uploader) = possible.

Without them, not a chance.

You'd be uploading them (the DVDRs), as BMTV has few of those.

It's a very ambitious project, and I'd just try it during fall time with an 100/100. Unless you got the http://hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com/01-large-sack-cash.gif for Gbit.

I agree with my buddy jam0980tr.

However I will add, that during spring shows, on a 100/100 box and seeding for about 3 hours, I got to 13.0 ratios for each show for the most part.

So figure atleast 3 popular shows a night, then a few other non popular...about a 50.0 ratio total for the night...so 50x350mb

That goes to 17.5gb per night just on 350mb shows

Then on 720p shows...hmm prolly 20gb per night off them tops...so you average 40-60gb a night uploading.

So no not possible.

bitmetv is the hardest tracker to buffer :(

During fall you can do a lot more than 3 shows a night though. There are several others that get 100-150 downloads the first night. Also, add the 700MB HR releases which you can probably seed back 8x each and for 3 shows that would be another 17GB. But at this time it's absolutely impossible.

I've done over 7TB upload in about 4-5 months time.

many people have dissected this problem in great depth and sure as ever come up with an answer that its not possible. for an average low-cost seedbox, you could go to around 100 gb in a week if you dont upload anything on your own. if you do choose to upload and have a gbit seedbox, then you might get somewhere close. but for that you need access to a 0sec topsite. also note that bitmetv does not allow scene rars to be uploaded. so you will have to unrar them on a box and then create a torrent file to upload them. this will take considerable time as compared to the time required for transfer on a gbit box - hdd write/read limitations come into play. not to mention you need a top end cpu as well. this is probably the reason why you will see shows uploaded to 0dy sites much faster. if you take all these factors into consideration, bmtv is still pretty quick in getting files up and im certain the top uploaders have some kind of scripts in use to directly upload files. so even if you got all the cash, you still have to be pretty l33t and come up with a faster script to beat these guys. this is for uploading scene releases.
the other option would be to come up with some original content. but this is extremely hard since every popular dvd/show is going to get uploaded anyway. if you do find a large collection of dvds/shows that is not yet uploaded, it wont be very popular and hence not many snatches on those.
so yes it is impossible or atleast highly improbable to do 1 TB but u could do like 500 GB if you are lucky. but i really dont think it is worth all the effort.

Bmtv has pretty bad pre's. Grab everything from a really fast 0day site or newsgroups, and up them with a fast box, and you might get around half of what you're wanting(for this time of year). Even half of what you're wanting is still a nice buffer at a site like that.
