lol I've always thought that so that antiviruses get supply...they need to create demand...so they have their best coders to create the viruses and then have their "saviour" antivirus get rid of it by downloading a lil update...

could it be the same with this and ms? are we gettin MORE stuck in burocracy and another attempt to boost ms a lil more to the top?

lets unload our opinions here :D

My opinion is there is TO MANY topics on this crap. Everyone knows that almost everyone got it! Its old news. It's already about completly gone anyway. Its not harmful.

i have seen hundreads of discussions on who creates these viruses, most of the time it is teenage kids with plenty of knowledge not anti-virus experts.

:P I didn't get it :P

Bottom line was there was a patch already out, people just didn't use it til it was too late.

part of me wants to think that M$ had this backdoor planned on purpose, so that when they rolled out palladium or whatever their new OS with the DRM crap is named, they'd have a backup in case people weren't upgrading to it. Someone else discovered the backdoor and used it for this virus instead....Yep, that's the conspiracy theory half of me. The other half just thinks some asshole decided it'd be fun to try to fuck over everyone's nt/2000/xp computer.

art of me wants to think that M$ had this backdoor planned on purpose,

this is not a backdoor. it can only be used as a dos style attack.

and the fact that the writer teased m$ in the code probably means he is a linux/unix/bsd user

Fuck over, how was it fuckin over - it was not a big deal at all. It was basically I coulda done some damage, but i didn't. Microsoft annonced this venerability almost as a call for someone to use it. What did we expect to happen? All the hacker in the world to say "well that is to easy".

I do beleive that the antivirus companies release alot of virus's, however since they were a little behing the eightball on this one, this is not one of those cases.
