another vote on the instrumental-oriented tracker! it is what I have been missing most for years now.. I don't only mean instrumental versions of original songs tho, purely instrumental stuff too.
I find it hard to believe there is none out there.. there is something for everyone. :)

thanks for the suggestion but I am there and it is ways off what I am looking for. they are mostly intro trance/house/electronic/metal category. not instrumental at all. :)

try soulseek, but an instrumental might not exist. they're normally put on singles for remixing

You can try removing the vocals from the song with a program such as audacity but sometimes they don't do very well.
