Hey I'm thinking of getting a seedbox again. I have had a few and the only reason I stopped using it the other day was because I feel that overseeding is ridiculously unfair to other users. But I was thinking a 10Mbit might be a better option, since it won't overseed as much, but would allow me to keep up and use a few torrents at once. I found this offer, but I'm wondering if anyone knows a better provider for 10MBit unmetered/high BW seedbox? I want more than 3000GB BW.

EchoServers:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.0Ghz
Memory: 1 GB DDR
Hard Drive: 80GB SATA II
Port Speed: 100Mbit / 1500 GB transfer or 10Mbit unmetered
IP Address: 4
Operating Systems: See list below
Monthly Price: $95.00 USD

Thanks.

As a side note, most clients have the option to stop or limit seeding once you've reached a share ratio of one, in case you were really concerned with overseeding ;)

But back on topic. That seems like a fair deal, I'd like to point you to http://www.rapidswitch.com/dedicatedservers.aspx though:

You'll get a core2duo, and double that harddrive space, plus a 10mbit unmetered with 4000GB bw limit for about £ 59.00. If you want to sign up I'd hurry though, since for the month of June they're waving the setup fee.

you won't be able to transfer more than 3000GB with a 10Mbit connection. there is no need for more bandwidth.

If my memory serves correct, maxing out a 10mbit box 24/7 for 30 days will provide about 3300GB of traffic. 33TB for 100mbit.

Someone can do the math to correct me ;)

I've found unmetered 10mbit dedicated servers for $60/mo. Before you buy just make sure to ask if the 10mbit is shared. If it is then look someplace else.

Take a look at http://www.volumedrive.com/

Prices are good but not exactly the specs your looking for. I had a box there for a bit for some bittorrent and other stuff. Got full 10/10 on demand.

Thanks.

for cheaper you can get a vectoral box with 3000gb bandwidth and 100/100

http://www.vectoral.info/servers.htm

or even goes leaseweb.

Dont waste your time with 10 unmetered as you wont reach 1500gb with it.

You wont over seed if you go to utorrent settings and tell it to stop seeding files after 300%. Thats a 3.00 ratio...not overseeding at all compared to the 100:1 you sometimes see.

plus you have a new home ...so you might not even need the box....

just my 2cents bro ;-)
