View Full Version : ftn down, making updates to site?
so either they're solving world hunger, or making happy-happy-fun-time updates?
I "think" they are down because Malaysia have pulled the plug on all torrent sites hosted over there.
Or thats what ive read on here anyway.

That was a theory I made by putting together the dots after today's TorrentFreak article, that's all.
There's no evidence to support my theory at this point. :)

Yeah, It's down because of Malaysia shutting down trackers hosted there.
this is bad, but maybe now they'll move the server somewhere that's not in the middle of nowhere and we'll get better site speeds....

That sucks. If it is true, I hope that they're able to access the server and recover the data.

You're not the only one. I was little freaked when I got on and saw all my torrents were red.

1) Learn how to read/spell.
2) Study a map.
3) Wait until they move their server.

Why not move the serve to China? :P
-_-' D'oh, I've almost forgot, there should be 2 prerequisites - No pornography and no discussions of Chinese politics. They do care about them. Aside from them everything would be fine. :D

Nice to see a new"sylar" here. Hopefully our FTN gets back online ASAP. Although I was told that issue ain't gonna be solved until Monday - when office hours start. Until then those trackers remain unreachable.

It's hacked. Secure version of FTN's URL reads: "Feeding hungary children one step at a time.". Google "Destroying The P2P’s, One Step at a Time" and you'll understand.

why host your site in this far far away country ?
i mean most bt users are EU/US which results in high latency and slow loading times, same with some other site hosted in Malaysia which i will not mention here.

Have you been in a coma for the last few years or something. I don't suppose you've noticed the number of trackers taken down if they were hosted in certain countries.

Ironically, the reason given is safety.
