1) What are the basic things to look out for when downloading software?
2) When looking for software am I better off going through the website "verified downloads" and "verified hashes" to prevent viruses or am I just as prone to problems as if I go down the normal kazaa search route?
3) If I download Windows XP, will it patch over my existing Wondows 98, or will I need to erase my existing version? Also will it request a code: if so where can I obtain a code?

Thanks to all,
P

u dont HAVE 2 erase win98, u can have a dual boot if u wish (i dun recomend it unless u have sum software/hardware u cant run in XP)

and u will need a KEY (not code) which u can generate with the handy keygens we have on this forum (well, a hash 4 a keygen)............. BUT!!!! if u get XP Pro Corp, u wont need 2 register it!!!! look in the verifieds section of software world 4 the hashes............

(1) Well check the bandwidth obviously and the file size whether both look reasonable to you or not. The more with higher badhwidth you can download quickly. And the most important thing you have to have a name ready for the software to download

I would recommend against using Kazaalite or any FastTrack client for downloading disc images and large
archive files (.rar, etc). I used to do it, a long time ago...you're much better off using a Donkey Network client
and using the hashes at ShareReactor.com. You'll never get a fake or a corrupt download.

If you get the corporate version of XP, it will require a Product Key, and you can either install it over your current
installation of windows 98 (as long as it's 98SE) or you can do a "clean" install and completely reformat & reparition
your drives. I would recommend the latter, but it's really up to you.

Been browsing the verifieds and can't seem to find the XP Pro Corp version with keygen anywhere?
