I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for file recovery software, particularly something to recover photos lost during a windows reinstallation. Some free software on the net would be great. Thanks

I used Easeus (http://easeus.com) on my XHDD a couple of months ago... it worked well, but it took ~14hrs to recover all 750GB...

I use a program called 'Active File Recovery'. Its done the trick for me a few times now.
