Plus I don't think there is anything out there better than Kazaa Lite. Kazaa Lite could be better, but progs like e-mule,bearshare,MIRC,sharezaa..blah blah. They all suck.

Try to search with google Clean Imesh 4.1 build 133 use the same network (Fasttrack) as KazaaLite and has no spyware you can use the sig2dat ,speed-up etc...and has a nice interface too.

I'd say Shareaza or SoulSeek for 2nd best. Btw if you install another FT client you might run into problems. Unlike KL & iMesh Lite (Clean iMesh) neither Shareaza nor SoulSeek are FT clients.

mIRC isn't really a p2p program, however, IRC is superior to FT as a protocol, imo

Why does everyone bag emule?
emule is my favourite at the moment
because -
huge amounts of software
especially via sharereactor.com
probally 10 new games a week !!!!!!!!
which are verified & you only download once as emule has error checking !!
now every one says it's slow
that is true
for the same amount 2500MB on kazaalite takes me 2 weeks of overnights
2500MB on emule takes me 3 weeks of overnights
who cares , 1 week more
because the programs are what they say , no errors & they work !!!
& yes i'm on 56K as well !
for people who want kids software try the sharereactor.com forum
under PC games , then kids , there's nearly everyone which you can think of
yes , these are nearly all CD images
but 95% of normal/adult games come with nocd cracks
but the kids ones don't

my 4 year old daughter can boot up my computer with either
windows98 - alcohol120% with 31 dvd drives with her emule kids games
or
windowsxppro - with about 80 of my games , she's still a quake 3 freak though !

this is what i'm trying to get of emule at the moment -
battlefield 1942,combat flight simulator 3,fa18 operation iraqi frredom,
freelancer,vice city,jane's fighters anthology,encarta 2004,toca race driver,
microsoft flight simulator 2004,zoo tycoon complete collection,motogp2
@ about 60 kids cds ranging from 80Mb-500Mb
& yes the sims 7in1 is fantastic (works perfectly)
i've deleted all the standalones which normally crashed which i got from kazaalite

Depends on what you want.

rare music, demos, live stuff, music videos that aren't mainstream pop or rap soulseek imo. i've never tried music on emule but logging onto a servers a pain in the ass and like i said i like rare as in out of print and under appreciated indiue and major label alternative acts from new wave to rock from 78 to late 90's and it's on soulseek AND newsgroups. after soulseek third thing though it aint what p2p is to us person to person directly but people ripping and posting the files. got tons of shit off there from peoples collections and stuff i wont wait in queue for any where else.

movies? i'm still an irc guy. after getting well circulayted dvd rips off kazaa looking for a new film is a waste of time. not enough people usually have it so you might as well use irc, newsgroups, or bittorent. i don't use because the speed sucks ass for me for saome reason.
