Is that like HDBits but for DVDRs or something? I read it in a post and I Googled it and I read it's a sister site to HDBits.

Any info on this or is this site nonexistent and I'm being Punk'd.

Members of HDBits got free invite to SDBits:

HDBits now has a sister site : SDBits.
SDBits aims to provide you with the same standards in quality you're used to on HDBits but for content that's only available in SD.
SDBits features very high standards for x264 encodes of dvds, and also full untouched DVDs.

it's basically a clone of hdbits and yes, their sister site. it has unotuched dvds and x264 encodes.

no scene releases allowed.

edit: ok, sgtmajor beat me here.

I'd use it if it were DVDR only, but the no scene scares me. I couldn't keep a ratio there I don't think

They have the same ratio system as HDBits, so it shouldn't be all that hard.

because the video resolution of xvid scene releases is usually less than standard def.

Their releases doesn't allow to be uploaded to X264, so there should be something in common

I really liked the site. They are allowing only x264 & DVD9s. Everybody knows x264 is much better than XviD if end results quality is concerned and they looks very good.

Seems like a good site, but is there any other way to get invited than be a member at hdbits?

SgtMajor

Not sure if they give users invites yet, their FAQ says they do, but if they are run like their sister site hdbits, then maybe not due to invite sellers.

Is invite selling such a big problem? Seems like it, but..
And why pay for something you can get for free? ;)
Anyways, some day i'm hoping to join the tracker ;)

I'm loving this site because untouched DVDs are the shit. :)

Keeping a ratio on those is hard though because most people either signed up this weekend or only want the encodes...

If DVD-R's are your thing thing then TTi is the place to be right now

Yeah it's shaping up to be very nice, upped 50gb on twinpeaks last night / today to show my appreciation and it puts some cash in the bank for when the tasty DVD-R's start rolling in left, right & center :)

Torrentworld is great for movie fans right now :)

Feel sad as when I clicked on the invite link it gave me nothing but 'page not found'. Tried again said invite been used. They made the rule don't ask for help if you can't handle the simple button click ... but it's not a simple click I can control ... anyway have to wait see if they'd give another chance.

I've been on for about two weeks now. Seeding is pretty easy without a seedbox.

To be honest, I prefer x264.eu since I think it has a cleaner design and much better organization of torrents, but I'm sure SDBits will produce some high-quality encodes.

HDBits has a lot of very good internal encoders. I imagine that if SDBits can create its own stream of internal encodes, it will be able to survive just fine.

1) I don't have or use TTi because I know it is mainly Nordic/PAL movies.
2) x264 does not have the potential size and skill of encoders nor do they required untouched DVDs. Some of the people from x264 are already on SDBits and uploading a lot of good stuff.

SDBits also benefits from being a sister site to HDBits. (Site grew from 1000 to almost 7000 since last week.)

there's one thing i like about sdbits. similar to E**** and a few others it's a p2p site that says screw the scene. we have our own rippers, encoders and suppliers and our releases have higher quality than any scene release.

sdbits is a site where quality p2p releases are created. of course you can't expect the newest stuff, but it's always nice to see sites that are independent and build a counterbalance.

when it comes to warez in general, the scene is and will be dominating the internet. we p2p folks are just unwanted leechers who don't contribute (which is true of course).

we should be proud of sites like sdbits where members put time and effort in providing others with their own retail releases.

it needs a lot more work, time and knowledge to make your own proper rips than race trackers with the latest scene releases stored on your seedbox.
