trailer doesn't show too much and i've never played any of the games, but i like marky mark & the funky bunch as an actor. he seems to play good roles and does a good job @ it as well. i'm sure this will be a pure action film and it does star Mila Kunis (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005109). WoW, she's just damn hot. very pretty girl. i'm sure imma check this film out just outta the actors alone. hopefully it'll be good. enjoy.

This movie looks like it'll be good. I like the actors in it but don't like that it's pg-13 and not rated R. I want to see lots of blood in a movie like that but from the rating there won't be much.

I'm a fan of the games and some of the scenes in the trailer appear to be shot for shot.
That said can anyone name a movie based on a video game that was any good?

And I agree with you Mr Nails,Mila Kunis is very easy on the eyes.

Other than Hitman which I thought was very good but you've probably already seen. I can't think of any others worth watching. I saw Dead Or Alive and didn't think very highly of it although I do love all the games in it's series.

You are right I forgot about Hitman.Although it didn't really have much of a story I really enjoyed it. :)
Also agree Dead or Alive was terrible.It's difficult to screw up martial arts and large breasts but they managed it.

Don't know if you like anime but I liked the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children movie. First Final Fantasy movie sucked.

Then there are the old movies like the the 3 Resident Evil movies, 3 Mortal Kombat movies, Street Fighter, and the Tomb Raiders.

FF Advent Children was pretty good lostdemon .Couldn't recommend the others although the Tomb Raiders had their moments.
Street Fighter and RE Apocalypse were really awful.

movie starts out kinda slow and then gets slower to finally burst @ the end with sum action finally. i LOVED the shotguns! lol. not much really going on here and u really don't know wtf until basically the end. never played the game so maybe that's why. found it to be fairly decent, but nothing to spectacular. HOT women! 6.5/10

they should have dropped the entire stay on topic max payne game plot and developed the Valkyrie project. they did it the wrong way round. Should have started with drug experimentations and effects thru the eyes of trupu dude or whatever he is called, show how beyond moral he is (instead of uber groaner) then expressionless max moves in later on to finish off the ethics issue.

I felt more emotion in the game, and loved the way out absurdity inbetweens which they totally missed out, they should have simply plugged then original game warp scenes into the movie to flip it more.

hoped he would develop wings at the end and fly of to develop SPAWN the movie.

oh well

@mr nails from now on, i will subtract 3 points from any of your ratings in order for it to be feasible.

The few action scenes in the movie were good but I just finished watching it and I gotta say im really disappointed. The storyline was pretty shit and painfully boring to follow, the twists were so easy to call my dog could do it.

They really botched up what could have been the movie of the year.

i taught it was gonna be better than expected, everything was a bit confusing and too mysterious until almost the end where you realize everything.

i played the first 10 minutes of the game and that's probably the only thing that the movie has from it.

i give it a 5/10 overall. it also made me wanna finish the game :P

Just watched this one. It must have been the worst movie in ages, just a little bit to predictable and unrealistic (what did he shot, 40 bullets without a reload) that just pisses me off. Then after 20 minute when they first introduced the "company" dont know their name but anyways, 2 secound after they showed i predicted the whole movie throu, and guess if i were right? Ye ofc, this movie sucked so bad i might even kill myself. bye bye.

I just saw it yesterday and I thought it was pretty bad. Some nice shots and decent acting (or movie saving) by Marc Wahlberg but that's it. Practicaly no action compared to the game. Not worth more than 5.5/10 in my opinion.
I mean seriously if it wasn't for Wahlberg this movie would be really bad. The game however was awesome.
