It isn't the colour of the back of the disk that matters, it is the quality of the dye and the quality of the burn that matters.

Trial and error, try burning at 2x/4x on your cd-r, if it doesn't work, go & buy better quality disks and keep going until you find the disk that works on your machine.

And this has what do with torrents? Just because you downloaded it as a torrent, does not make it a torrent problem!.

Blue Verbatims work well, but it is trial and error on your machine, no-one call tell you what to buy as there is no guarantee on your machine, go & buy the best you can afford, preferably dark blue dye ones to begin with.

When I was into the early PS2 scene I used more expensive unbranded light blue dyed cd-r's , burnt slowly with alcohol 120% and would only end up with the occaisional coaster maybe 1 out of 10 or 20 I'm struggling to remember the type of writer I had

Don't think cd games will play from a dvd-r but and most reasonable cds will work on ps2 most important thing is the burn speed slow is better I usually go for 8 or 16x for cd's :)

If in ISO format - quite often they will.

Bin/cue format - mostly not.
