i heard that even if Kazaa is off other users sends request for downloading stuff on my IP (this causes stucking of my connection) , my ISP told me that i should unistall and unregister all p2p software to improve my connection.

balamm

They told you this did they? You might want to speak with a supervisor then because kazaa has nothing to do with the quality of your connection.

And if you admit to having kazaa installed, they will own you !

The phrase 'double standards' springs to mind.

MadSanta, I feel your question has not been taken serious enough, so I will try to help you. Inside of your computer there is what is commonly refered to as an HD or hard disc. On this disc all traces of everywhere you have ever visited, downloaded etc. are recorded. I would suggest then that you remove this disc and replace it with the soft disc variety. However I am not an expert on the soft disc variety nevertheless I am sure one of our other highly regarded members could provide you with the pros and cons about the use of the soft disc as opposed to the hard disc.

So balamm, when I try to add a little humour to what is an absolutely useless post, it is ok for you to delete my posts and leave it where it is, but when you spam a serious post to death, you move it to the lounge.

I'm wrong, that isn't double standards, it is a total lack of any standards at all.

balamm

there it is :) I knew that was coming ;)

I'll sleep much better now.

Goodnight

WTF is a soft disc? Or is this just more humour?

No, no, just take your hard disc and soak it in vinegar for 24 hours, and voila, a soft disc! makes the security on it much better :D

Or drill a small hole on top and pour some sand in it.
White sand preferably, but any fine grain variety ill do, I guess.
It'll get rid of the info regarding Kazaa in no time at all.
You can also get a soft disk, by putting a CD in a pot of hot water for a while btw.
That'll be $50 please.
Don't make me send you a reminder for that, or I'll have to charge you a $25 administration fee on top of that.

Do not use a soft disk it could lead to a lot of trouble.
A soft or degenarate disc(In the US of A) could lead to a slipped disc. This could prevent you getting data back and would be very painful. Also if you bend you will not be able to rise up again. If you end up in a permanent bent position there are a few people who would have a hard as opposed to a floppy who would try to assist you.

I seem to have lost all faith in the moderation system. Balamm, Lynx...
If madsanta is still here, and not off crying in a corner about how badly he was treated, he should check this out:
If you go to the folder Kazaa Lite was installed in, you'll see something called unins000 or something to that affect. It will have a trash can icon.
Click on that and it will uninstall.

I hope to God that MadSanta hasn't gotten the impression that we all hate n00bs to the point where we'd flame even the serious ones...

Unless any posts have been removed or altered, and I am not aware or even suggesting that they have, I think it is sufficient to let this thread speak for itself.

That sometimes is not enough... For example, can you count on one hand the number of threads in software land asking for copies of Windows? You could let those threads speak for themselves, but I prefer to have them deleted and/or replaced with shameless advertisements for linux.org, or the place where you can send the folks at Mandrake Linux money so they can buy themselves lunch and a hat.
