Don't "install" it, use VMware and run it inside your current OS.

Yes. If you plan on installing Longhorn, either use VMware. Or just create a new partition and install it onto that. It WILL be buggy...

Better than Virtual PC. It runs at pretty close to host speed while VPC does not.

Longhorn is really easy to get these days. Download mIRC. Then head over to www.ircspy.com or www.packetnews.com and do a search for Windows Longhorn.

Go for it.

As perfect and bugfree as XP is I can see why you'd want to run a beta MS system.

Ahem.

I would not recommend you to install longhorn transformation pack as it can corrupt your system file, just like what it did to my xp after uninstallation.

I ended up with repairing my windows.

You forgot to tell him about the recommended (by vmware themesleves) 1 gig of ram he will need to run it with absolutlely no performance issues whatsoever.

512 of ram? Well, It will run but not like you would probably want it to if your doing a load of task on both o.s.

256 of ram? Forget about it.

128 of ram? In your wildest dreams?

64 of ram? Put that box out of its misery. :o

Way to many ppl ask this question. They should do a search on this because this question has been asked a shitload times.

Longhorn is buggy and is in alpha stage. You best bet is to install on another partition and dual boot. You do not want to install as main OS for it is not reliable.
