I use Serv-U FTP Server. It's a good program. If you end up using it msg me and I'll give ya the serial...

Try IIS it includes ssi if you enable it to. Just install it form your xp disk Read the asp help page after you install it and it will tell you about the ssi and how to enable it. I havent used IIS in a while but I think Im right.

Just one other thing though. IIS on xp will only allow 10 concurrent connections so unless you are going to have 10 clients or less downloading at one time then its not good to use.

Another one specifically for p2p sharing and web downloading is http://www.badblue.com/ and you can also use php with bad blue web server (by configuring it manually), its small, simple and easy to use.

I still think apache is the best though. ;)

You may wish to use WS_FTP Server at http://www.ipswitch.com, but nowadays FTP is becoming slowly unpopular due to it's security vulnerbilities and therefore you may wish to set up a HTTP server instead such as by using http://www.no-ip.com, or just stick to P2P.
