I would suggest finding a torrent that contains the song you want and only downloading that.

What anti-virus do you have?

i have virgin pcguard, but i install the big 'brand' ones once in a while, to scan my pc. Ill check on my laptop when i go on there, i have avira installed on there.

I've found http://megadownload.net/ to be pretty helpfull . It's a general search engine for Rapidshare & Megapload, but adding mp3 after your band or song name narrows it down to individual tracks .
