View Full Version : Trackers banning Brazilian IPs

That is not the first time I heard of sites banning Brazilian IPs in general.
I cannot believe that only the Brazilians are cheaters, scammers and so on..
But why segregate a whole country bc of 10 ou 12 rotten apples that could be tossed away pretty easily ??:angry:
If some1 agrees with that, Iīd tend to think this is a racial issue.:angry:
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Think what you like, we have an admin thats Brazilian, but when we open i would say it was 999 out of 1000 are cheaters and 998 of those are from Brazil, (that is an exageration but not by much)

Maybe instead of getting on at the trackers, you should get onto sites in Brazil that tell them how to cheat, and spread the word that they do not have to.

And if a lot of trackers are doing it, it shows that its not just isolated. We have not banned them yet, but my staff have wanted to for about 3 years now. so yes i know most are scum of the earth. and im not being racist, its just a fact.

I've also read that ISPs in some countries send out phony data to trackers. So if someone reports an upload of 9 billion TB it might be ISP interference. That would at least explain why some countries have a cheat rate of greater than 90%.

I dunno, off topic, but I was watching womens beach volleyball and that woman from Brazil had the nicest ass ever. Let the Brazilians in for that reason alone :)

do you really think all those site statistics that have been reported are fabricated?

it has nothing to do with racism.
by the way? which race exactly is brazil? last time i checked there were several different races living in brazil.

lol

countries where the max you can have is 56k (.il, .br and so on (even .ro that have the worst international peering ever seen?)) have a lot of ppl that cheat to "survive" on the trackers...

isn't that funny that nearly nobody from .se cheats? :P

so yes i know most are scum of the earth. and im not being racist, its just a fact.

That says a lot about you as well :D...

Sometimes you just have to stop being politically correct and just face facts and statistics. Look at Nigeria; this country is pretty much notorious for credit card/identity fraud, and it's understood that the Government supports it as well. It's not being racist against Nigerians, it's just the facts.

If you can't handle it with your 56k Internet, then you have no need for it at all. Stick to newsgroups or something.

I respect the whole country ban when there are massive cheaters but there are also good users waiting to get in from those countries. So it is not fair at all. They have to give a chance to others. If they dont care f*** them all.

if your country is banned also at any country, you will clearly understand this guy's problem. You cant feel it if you dont experience.

My country is also banned at HDbits.org,it is full of shame. So I cant get in there, but I dont deserve this.I have massive upload at BHD(over 3TB) and I did it by seedbox. This means I deserve HDbits.org more than lots of users.

They don't have to do anything. They present a simple solution: Get a static IP, and you will be granted access. If you can't do it, then tough luck. Blame it on your cheating countrymen.

well use a proxy server or do anonymous surfing, this way u can be able to use the trackers and have the fear out.

1-Get a static ip
2- If you can't use a proxy program and use the site if you get banned, you was already blocked anyway.

for the record we have never ever seen that.

its with cheat clients that they cheat.

Curious, countries with shitty connections tend to cheat, and some peeps have the balls to half-understand that : brazilian, israelis, egyptians, portugueses, etc.
But Iīve read that Australia has the worst speeds of all, and they are legion on internet... could somebody tell me if itīs usual that australians cheat in a massive way?

Polarbear
08-19-2008, 06:04 PM
there's no correlation between internet speeds and the amount of cheaters. many countries have slow connections and little cheaters.

the slow speed motive is just a lame excuse.

Net in Australia isn't the best but it really isn't the worst.

oh and how many Australian actually do torrents? Few when compared to Brazilian torrenters, i think

Click here (http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/Images/commentarynews/broadbandspeedchart.jpg) for broad band speed by country.

Well i really think half the problem is the language barrier.

Like our SP mod is pretty convoluted and hard to understand for a new member thats really good at English, but if you cannot speak English what chance have you got to understand it.

also a couple of years ago we found 3 Brazilian sites replicating our login page as soon as there was a place open, they would post it auto on their forums, so more often than not we got another Brazilian to contend with.

I think on the forums over there, they tell their members how to cheat, and how to get away with it, and to just keep doing it, as its easy, so everyone does it. (but more often than not they do get caught)

But about Australians, we dont have that many, and your correct, most are on shitty connections, 60gig month upload/download caps and not much better than dial up, and all the ones i know do not cheat, but then thats not to say no Australian cheats ever, its just ive never encountered it.

well if thats their "life" maybe its right we do ban them.

and I already said that we have an Admin thats from Brazil and he does not cheat, and never has as far as im aware.

My staff have been crying out for me to ban the entire country for 3 years, but im an optomist, i think that if we can get some in that do not cheat, they may spread the word to others not to cheat. But it just doesnt work.

So some are bloody good members, the rest are scum, sorry if you do not like that word, but its the best word to describe them.

Because not only are they cheating themselves, they are cheating the good users of those trackers that are good members and are getting IP banned.

so that to me is Scum.

well, thats not me saying that, thats our good Brazilian members saying that.

they say its all over Okult or whatever it is you call it, i know its not that but something like that.

They ,ay be a country of cheaters, but they still have to learn how to do it from somewhere, and i know its definately not the trackers that are teaching them.

The only one who is making stupid things here, and not in this only thread precisely, itīs you.
Is it true or not that Portuguese have been banned from many sites by cheating?
That static IP thing applies for any other banned country.

And my comment was due to the fact that you left torrent related conversation and felt into personal disqualification to each and every Brazilian calling them "malandros", which, by the way does not mean "lazy", it means "delinquent".

There`re about 65454...5465 forums arround the web...they don`t need to learn exactly from a brazilian one ;)

I`m not saying that we don`t have cheaters here, but there aren`t 98% of users like you said :pinch: and I believe that must be always the same bad users cheating in trackers (when I say "always the same bad user" I mean hundreds of persons..we have a population of 180.000.000+ ).

Yeah thats it.

Thing is we havnt even banned them so i dont even know why the hell im posting in here lol, i can just understand why trackers do ban them, because its a hell of a lot easier than banning them once they are in.

and i can say its not far off 98%, that may have been a slight exageration, but its not far off.

it is an epidemic, and im not saying their are not good users from those countries, of course there is, but there are a lot more bad than good im afraid.

Agreed 100%

It is not like we have some sort of "Al Qaeda" boot camp of cheaters here.

Very honestly, letīs say that 80% of Brazilian torrent users just stay in public forums (piratebay), local trackers or lvl 1,2 privates. Some of those who are in lvl 1 or 2 are simply hitīnīrunners. Considering a few exceptions, 99% are not willing to donate to keep a tracker alive. I am sure those are not tempting numbers to any tracker.

But my initial thread intended to argue that profiling users based on their country and blocking IPs will not stop cheaters at all. And those who are good users are the ones that are, in fact, harmed by such type of measures.

But anyway, I am just dreaming out loud with a better world..:D:D:D:D

We can, of course, assume that users from certain countries "tend to cheat" and trackers should exercize caution on them , but IMHO it is a long long way from comments such as "scum of the eath", "hoodlums" and the like.

Just to get on Stoiīs nerve, on Orkut.com there are at least 3 or 4 communities just for BCG. :):) Could not spot any clear-cut evidence of cheating there, just a bunch of 2,000 fans of his tracker.

well thats why i will not ban them, i know we have about 8,000 Brazilians on the tracker, and all of those are good members (or at least they have not been caught cheating lol j/k).

But when we do open up, a hell of a lot do cheat, and it is not just 10-12, it is 1000`s of the blighters that get in and cheat.

On BCG we do not ban any countries, but on the other hand, these type of users are the reason we are probably never going to open again, hopefully our referal system works great so we do not have to open again. but it is because of these why we remain shut.

lol, you wanna teach me portuguese language?
i know the meaning of "malandro", and malandro means lazy, even my parents call me malandro sometimes, and so, it does NOT mean delinquent

by the way, do you read the papers? of course not, i'll help you

what can i say? thank you for sheding some light into this thread, delinquents is the right word for them but only you used it, not me, so who is personaly disqualificating them?
i rather call them lazy and if you don't agree that's your problem
don't make stupid assumptions, it only makes you look stupid, pardon the redundance..

now you can go pick up the stupid things i'm saying in other threads.. or get informed so you don't look stupid again.. or am i personaly disqualificating you? ;)
