Use Download Acelerator.

It's a free download,as long as you are happy to steal it.

I think it's at version 5, that's what I use.

Keep the "always search more" option going and it'll keep collecting sources.
Speeds it up a lot.
Check the tips section.

I use GetRight 5.02. I also paid for it, so I get free technical support amongst other benefits. It only costs about 25 dollars (more if you feel like donating extra money to them).

If your connection does not have the bandwidth for downloads that can go 400 times faster then normal then Download Accelerator is nothing more then a simple download manager.

Thats how my conneciton is. I'm lucky if I get download speeds at 40k and DAP doesn't accelerate them at all. :(

But DAP is still better. The normal Windows Downloader cannot pause and resume downloads at will.
I have gotten 2487 Kb\sec with DAP for a split second, which dropped down to finishing the DL at 156 kb\sec. Even tho my max normal Dl speed is 45 kb\sec...

I'd have never left it here so long.

If it hadn't already been hijacked earlier it would have been moved to a sensible location.
