i have seedbox host right now;

all i can say is stay away.

unbelievably slow; max download speed ive seen on my torrents is 1.1mb/s TOTAL!!,
and upload ? MAX; 400k. usually i see 4 or 5k/s...

support is UNBELIEVABLY slow in response times... if ever.

setup time for my windows vps took almost a week.

harddrive space is 15gb.... wtf ?

ram is 256mb....wtf ?

only positive thing i can say about them, is they gave me a temporary torrentflux account while they, setup my windows box.

im leaving them ASAP.

Ive been with seedboxworld.net for 4 months. First i got a linux torrentflux seedbox VPS from them. Its hosted in holland and its quite quick.

It costs me £22 (uk) a month for 25 gig and the box i have is mine and not shared with others. Speeds are ok, I get 10Mbit daily from the vps in general use (peeks a little higher).

I decided a month ago to get another server, i got a windows one as i was going to run other progs on it also. The windows VPS are the fastest (in using it, speed of system etc) i have used. It dosent crash, its got its own control panel so i can reboot it and uTorrent installed.

The speeds on the windows server does vary at different times of the day. Its not as constant as on the linux box. Speeds on the windows server have been ranging from the highest i had was 22Mbit down and 12 Mbit up, average speed seems to be between 6-10Mbit down and 1-4Mbit up.

There support (when i have had to use it) was excellent, they rebuild my linux box after i broke it within the hour. Ive been with other seedbox hosts who never ever even replied to my emails :(

All in all im happy with my 2 vps boxes i got with them.

Hi guys,

Looking through the forum, I found this thread. I'm actually already a SeedBoxWorld.net customer. I have been for about 5 months now. I can be straight with you, SeedBoxWorld.net aint the cheapest for VPS's...BUT, i think you will find them to be one of the cheapest XEN VPS Hosts! Read more below about XEN/Virtuozzo VPS's

I'm not too sure what a couple of you are on about, I'm on a Windows XEN VPS and I havn't had any problems what so ever, speeds are very good for a VPS and if all you are worried about is the cost, then you are totally mad.

E.G When going to the supermarket to get some Bread. Would you rather pay 20p for the supermarkets own brand of bread, dry and tasteless, or pay 80p extra and get a much better quality warburtons loaf? (Totally different products, but the principal is the same). In this case, Virtuozzo (cheaper VPS) is the Supermarkets own loaf and Warburtons are the XEN VPS's (What SeedBox are offering)

Also the VPS I have is a XEN VPS, which I believe so far, is my favorite Virtualization method. So much more like a Dedicated server, resource wise (Don't believe me? There are plenty of forums around on the internet that prove this fact!)

Ive been with 2 other VPS companys prior to SeedBox and both have been Virtuozzo/OpenVZ VPS's, and all the resources are very limited. Also alot of 3rd party applications are blocked. For instance, Parallels do NOT allow 3rd party drivers to be installed onto a network card, so you won't be able to install a 'decent' firewall.

So really, if you guys moaning about the price, go ahead and order a cheap Virtuozzo/OpenVZ VPS, be dissapointed. Because you wont find the better quality XEN VPS much cheaper than SeedBox. If you want a good stable, fair distributed VPS then you need to pay a little extra!

The reason why the XEN VPS's are more expensive, is because they use alot more of the Node's resources, as they give it back to the end user. You will find that Virtuozzo, the hosting company will over sell and put twice as many VPS's on one machine. So they can afford to do cheaper VPS's, I think this is un fair to the end user. As they are not recieving all the resources they ordered. With XEN if they say you are getting 512mb ram, then you ARE getting that amount all the time. Not just when the VPS actually needs it (Like virtuozzo)

So basically, you will find any company doing XEN vps's more expensive than companys doing Virtuozzo VPS's. Look around, you will find out for yourself. Once you have found out the difference, you will find SeedBox to be one of the cheapest. I know....I've been there and looked!

Start researching before slagging off totally innocent companys! I've had no problems at all with SeedBoxWorld.net, NOT ONE! Speeds are great, slower at times. But always faster than i recieved off a Virtuozzo VPS. People should start looking, how there VPS is powered, rather than just looking at the price!

P.S Happy to answer any questions regarding my own VPS. Also everything ive said above, is based on Windows VPS's as i cannot comment on NIX, but the theory between XEN and Virtuozzo/Open VZ stays the same

maybe this VPS is better than other VPSs, but it is still more expensive than a lot of dedis even through a reseller. if you're prepared to spend those prices, go and get a kimsufi, quite simple, more space, more ram, better cpu, and the entire network card to yourself.

i use the service and have used many other seedbox's in the past if im honest id say there only slow if u dont know how to use them if u stick to things like stargate atlantis new films and things u know will be leeched by lots of peeps and ur quick to upload them ul hit 700/cent of any torrent fast its just a matter of experiance if u want to see my seed/leech ratio il be happy to post but iv uploaded 1tb in a month for 20 quid if id of donated to my site i would of got 3 months witch 4 me would eqate to about 400gb so im no mathamatician but id say iv got 8 months worth for 20 quid without even ruining my ratio as i say if u know what ur doing ul get high speeds if u dont u wont

Ive nothing to do with seedboxworld.net, Im no forum cruzer either i dont have the time to post / keep up with forums regularly, i read em when i needz 2 find out something, anyway I was looking on google and i found this post. My mistake was that i haven't read the reviews.. total watse of money i'll use it for one month and that's it... whatever i can upload and that's it please if anyone is consider buying from them STAY AWAY...

Im downloading and uploading as we speak at 19Mbit Down / 16 Up Mbit and my server is located in holland or germany, one of the 2. Im happy, if that sort of speed not good enough for u then there no pleasing some people!

Hey Mike,

I tried to message you back from the message you left me, but I couldn't, said something about this user doesn't allow emails. Anyway, reply to your question. It took a few hours to get mine on-line.

With mine, it has VNC access, but I just set-up remote desktop and that's what I use now. Hardly use the VNC. As I find remote desktop easier to use :D If im only downloading torrents, i just setup the web interface thingy for an explorer and thats much quicker for me if i just want to go and download a torrent. Easier than messing around with remote desktop

It says in those specs there that it is unmetered bandwith, which is the same as unlimited bandwith.

lol suxx speeds :D What was it? Having the same test on Kimsufi my results are three times better! OVH servers are from France, the test was in Germany and your server is German and tested in Germany so the results should be much better.. Apparently the server is giga-hosting so cannot expects wonders..

I had mine setup within 6 hours of me paying for it, think they said within 24 hours when i got it. I use remote desktop on mine, think that all the windows package go that, if not its so easy to turn on anyway, they dont charge for bandwidth either, its in the price.

They got new offers now, even better 60GB / 256 Mb RAM think its £25 and 100GB HD 512Mb Ram for £31. Windows uTorrent VPS or Linux VPS. I got Nix meself.

I been with em for months now must be about 6 months, and have 2 boxes, both were setup within 24 hours, the last one took about 4-6 hours i cant remember exact but it waznt long at all.

My speeds vary from the 2 boxes, think there in 2 different DC's one of them getting around 19 - 22 Mbit Down and 9-15 Mbit UP and the other 21 - 32 Mbit Down and 17-21 Mbit Up.

Just speaking up for a company i think has excellent support and service :whistling

From what I've read now it's overpriced and they have poor speeds.
