i see there's a lot of requests in invite section for sct.. what's the current situation with it? when was the last time invites were given to members?

You can no longer donate for invites, but no one lost any invites that they already had, as far as I know.

There is no donate for invites option in sct,you will only donate for some gb s upload :)

They have a lot of competitions and contests where you can win invites. Currently thy have a baking contest and a Fantasy Football contest. A few weeks ago they had a IRC trivia contest. :)

there is too much invite out but some member have 3 or more invite tooooo
and they really think ScT is G0d of all trackers ...
so invites are really valuable and gems there was a option at donate page for donating and getting invites but now it is no there anymore...
there is too much invites but find is hard cuz if can you visit ScT you will understand why they dont wanna easy it:)

yo, so on to SCT's invite policy. Your options for invites would include
1. Baking a nice cake/and or getting a video with a happy birthday to sct song. You need to be in top 3 for one of those contests.
2. You could just pray and hope they give out invites to a certain user class and above in a few days on their birthday.

Staff has said more than once recently they won't be handing out new invites anytime soon, or perhaps ever. We can only hope though
There's over 30,000 invites already in the system with people who deserve them and have earned them.
We've got less than 1,500 user spaces left.
19/20 of all current invites could be left redundant and we'd still surpass the userlimit.

I've always found it weird how you guys have always managed to stay under the user limit with so many people and so many invites. I guess the only people left with them are either really greedy, really careful, or there's no one else worthy enough to invite. :wacko:

Its a crapshoot for the smaller sites. If theres < 5k members world wide, chances of meeting the right person, that has an invite, and actually takes the time to get to know you enough to trust you, are slim to none.
People always want what they can't have. Either get used to wanting, or move on.

For the longest time, the donation counter was showing a goal of €1500 for each month. This wasn't the actual case. As you can see the donation goal has now been updated to reflect €2000. Servers cost a lot of money.
Sure there would be quite a bit left over in the PayPal account, but if you were paying attention to the donation status that month, you would notice that without invites being offered, donations weren't even going to come close to meeting the monthly goal. Sure, this wouldn't make a difference for one month, but think of it in the long run. If donations kept coming in at only 35% each month, eventually there would be no money to pay for the site with. This is actually a prime example of why it's important to keep more than you actually require (and accept donations past 100%) inside of the PayPal account.
So yes, this has everything to do with paying the bills.
