FBI agents arrested 27-year-old Kevin Cogill on Wednesday morning on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. Cogill appeared in court in the afternoon wearing a T-shirt; his girlfriend sat court and afterward said, "Rally the troops," but declined further comment.

Federal authorities say Cogill posted nine unreleased Guns N' Roses songs on his Web site in June. The songs were later removed."

Instead of arresting Cogill someone should give him a medal for finally releasing songs from the album.
What is it like ten years and counting?

I have that album but I've never listened to it.

I've heard on the radio that $25 million has been put into it over the years and it may never be released.

What is the point in writing something if it's not going to be released?

Why do the Feds think it is such a heinous crime to make available this material?

It seems that copyright violation is being promoted above almost all other crimes, with the exception of terrorism, and in some circles, copyright violation is being compared to terrorism, or the funding of.

This might have been as well had it been released in the post grunge era.

I love grunge and its' successors, but this it just shit.

Go get it on the Usenets.
