Well there are a lot of high level trackers that are releasing teh same release(by the same group) but the names are in different cases like
Tracker 2 - david.lettermen....bajskorv
Tracker 1 - David.Lettermen...BAJSKORV
Now the uTorrent starts downloading both the files .. Is there any way to get rid of this problem .. Like only 1 copy is downloaded ... I tried to make the Torrent name same but it still dsnt work ...
Any help will be highly appreciated ..

When you add the same torrent with a different name it will ask
you if you want to add the trackers because the torrent already
exists, if you dont get this option then check to see if they are
the same torrents, 1 might be rared and 1 might not be..etc

The original post says that the torrent content is same but the name is different due to Upper/Lower case used ...

I don't see why it would store them differently. If you're using windows, directories are not case sensitive, meaning "C:\Directory" and "C:\DIRECTORY" would be the same directory. Are you saving downloads from each feed in a different place? Otherwise I don't know why this would happen. There isn't really a way to only download a release once, if you don't know the name of it.

ok try this .
Get the same release from SCC and B*TV ..
their case would be different ..
Try downloading them and both would download at different locations ..
Even i am puzzled as to y this is happening

okay, bitmetv doesn't rar releases, this is why.

bitmetv serves the .avi unrarred file, which is lowercase.

scc serves the rarred torrent release.

if you don't want both, then i suggest not running a rss for bitmetv, unless you're around to do smart monitoring techniques (i.e. unrarring the scc release before the bitmetv release downloads)

Thanks ...
On the risk of sounding noobish i ask if this smart monitoring technique can be automated(or has been) or this has to be done manually ..

EDIT: But the other day i got a torrent from SCC(or gft) and it was uploading to BMTV properly or i have just conked off ..

EDIT 2: Nope i havent.. Chk out the Conan o Brien release from those two trackers today ..

Download the .torrent file
Open the .torrent file
When the window appears, say where and under what name you want to store the file. Choose the previous address where the downloaded torrent is, if the files are the same it will do a re-check and then will begin to seed in both sites the same files.

scc is rar'd and B*TV isnt

try tweaking some of the rss setting like turning on 'smart ep. filter'
