Problem Watching Video In Overlay Mode

this happens with every file i've tried so far:

If I use the overlay mode to display the video I lose some of the bottom of the video, but if i turn overlay off in BSPlayer (or watch it in virtual dub) the video is fine.

Anyone have any idea, fix etc why this happens?

Maybe you dont have the right codecs installed (just a guess)
