I'd recommend asking for screenshots of albums, since the only way to get a ratio on what.cd is to upload something. Most new members leech something and then expect their ratio to grow by seeding, then realize it's not easy and hit n run.

I'd absolutely love to get this tracker, because I consider myself a great music fan, and I've heard that this is the very best out there. I have a decent collection of music, but can't always afford, so having a tracker which can provide high quality rips, would really compliment my collection. Also, I don't have any other music tracker, so having one, and a great one at that, would be a fantastic start.

You can even use it as a source for Audio Books, it is a wonderful spot...but I have to admit, it is hard to keep a ratio...the ratio I have is made by my own uploads!!

Why I want this tracker:
I miss Oink! I joined waffles earlier this year and have found it to be an enjoyable place, but it still doesn't hold the same spot in my heart as Oink did. I'd like to join What.cd in the hopes that it will help fill the void that was created inside me when Oink went down. (Waffles has been my rebound girl, but I'm still searching for true love).

About Me:
I am a long-time member of the filesharing community. My earliest memories of filesharing are of borrowing 1.44" floppy disks from a "friend" with the original PC game Civilization on them. I still have those disks even though I got them 16 years ago.

Fast-forward ten years to when I discovered bittorrent. On that magical day, i was searching IRC for an episode of this hot new TV show called Alias. I found it on a fileserver, but when I downloaded it, it wasn't an episode, it was a .torrent file. I installed the original bittorrent client, and the download started, and by the next morning, I had the complete episode, and this was over a day before it actually aired of television.

Before long, I found that the easiest place to find .torrent files was not via IRC, but by this place called a "tracker" called Torrentbits. I promptly joined, and was a member there until it closed. The day Torrentbits closed was a very sad day for me, but with the eventual rebirth of Torrentbytes, I felt good again. I have been a member of Torrentbytes for over 3 years now.

I am now a member of multiple bittorrent communities. In glancing at my utorrent ratio today, my global uploads are 4.9 TB, and my global downloads are 479GB, all from my home connection, I have never used a seedbox.

I think that sums it all up--I have a been a long member of the file-sharing community, I have a good reason to want a What.cd invite, and I have a decent internet connection. I appreciate your consideration for an invite.

I was a member of oink when that site got busted its been hard to find a music site that has every kind of music I look for for free usually I download the album and if I like it a lot I buy it. In all my accounts I never hit and run you can read my account info at.

That was my user name at oink as well. Even with out uploading anything I still maintained a good ratio.
my speed now is 10mb download and 768 upload.
