What.cd with a seedbox?

I've just bought a seedbox.
It's running TorrentFlux 2.4.

I can download from What.cd with great speed, but when I go to seed even the most popular torrents on the site I can only ever get 1 or 2 peers and a speed sub 10kb/s.

If I try a public torrent, I get an awesome upload speed.

My experience is that everything there is so incredibly well seeded and has virtually no leechers. If there's not many wanting to download the file then you won't get high speeds.

I haven't set it up myself yet, but it was suggested to me that if you want to build ratio with a seedbox, a good way is to set it up so your seedbox downloads via RSS the scene torrents as soon as they pop up.

If a torrent is fairly old on What but "appears" popular then 99% of the leechers are in fact "partial seeders". Have you tried jumping on a popular torrent when it's still new?

seedboxes are nearly useless at sites like what.cd and waffles.

I often get ~5gb upload on the comic packs and flac albums. I sort by most leechers and they pick a torrent that is 500mb+, 12hrs or less old, 1 seeder. i often get 3-5x ratios on these. i have been on what for 4 months with a seedbox, rotating torrents 1-2x a day and got about 90gb upload(vs 5tb to other sites) so def harder but doable

Also, after I leave TorrentFlux for a while, say 15 minutes, I come back and my torrents have stopped seeding.
How do I stop that?

of course you would get crazy upload speeds on public trackers, its filled with leechers :D

When the site opened I uploaded 240gigs on the I-Doser torrent. lol... yea, it's hard to seed at music sites.

like others have said - best bet is to jump on what will be popular torrents as soon as you can...open up the taps & watch your ratio fly up :)...that - or upload new content yourself. when any freeleech periods come around, you'll do very well then too!

may i ask where you got the seedbox from/how you're finding it overall?

Simply it is hard to seed on that site. With a seedbox I can only just about keep level.

actually all new torrents are on a 6 hour freeleech

i buffered up 85GB in 2 days, still a few days remaining

there are tons of free leech on newtorrents, have upped 40-50gb at least in last few days on a shared box

120Gb in 5 days, with only a couple of torrents snatched every day, but since they are mostly on freeleech, it's been quite easy. Of course you need a good seedbox or you'll be eaten alive.

But I can give the example of Waffles wich is also if not harder to seed. In a week i got 50Gb up with 3.0 ratio wich is not bad at all, just jump into new torrents with 4/5 leechers and you'll get something out of that, FLACs are better because of the size as you can get more Gb uploaded, of course they are more risky,just make sure you have a good seedbox.

BTW in Waffles don't even consider the DCP comics, lightning fast uploaders, so you won't stand a chance.

Hehe I always get on DCP comics on waffles . i manage to get 2x out of them. so 2GB per comics. But its very hard

Its almost comical to see lesser people download DCP packs because of freeleech in what. Shows many just download them to build ratios.

Most of the downloads are made just for that. If you only donwload what you like, your ratio will surely suck...
