Ok I'm having a really stupid problem that nobody seems to want to answer.. I have been recommended in earlier posts to DISABLE TCP/IP Filtering to get better speeds etc. which I did the first time and afterwards I simply cannot connect back to the server with the Remote Desktop....:frusty:

I contacted leaseweb the provider and they reinstalled the whole thing and I got a new login for the server.... well good then.

NOW I tried once again to disable the TCP/IP Filtering... I Simply removed the tick from the box and applied the change. Rebooted the server for the changes to take effect and now..... Boom, I can't connect again..!!

Is this a joke or what? I'm I doing something wrong or what?

This link with a guide to disabling the filtering http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc779417.aspx (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc779417.aspx)
is posted alot on these forums and people say that this is all you have to do but obviously I can't reconnect to the server afterwards...

Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong because this is getting annoying, I'm guessing I'll have to get leaseweb to reinstall the whole thing again.

Just ask from leaseweb to reset your server again, and don't mess with it next time.

Well why does everyone recommend that you disable it then?
I can't see the sense in that..

It doesn't speed everything up.

Instead of turning it off, just add the ports you need opening.

e.g. uTorrent port & FTP server port.
