i bought my loptop a while ago. Running OSXP 256RAM wih AMD Athlon XP. Everytime im working with it, it just crashes and i get a blue screen for a split second. When i reboot i get the Problem Reporting system telling me that windows just recovered from a serious problem. I look at details and i get the following information: BCCode : 7f BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 768_1


hopeuflly you might know anything. Ah and sometimes i get "One or more file from register had to be recoved or soemthing like that. Anyone has any idea on what migh tbe causing this?

so you have all the updates and service packs installed?

you might have a screwed up registry or something, try and boot up from f8 and choose the last known working configuration thing and see if that helps, i think os repair or reinstall might be a better idea but see what every body else says

Start by disabling the Automatic restart:

Click: Start>Control Panel>System>Performance and Maintenance>System>Advanced>Startup and Recovery-Settings. Remove the checkmark from: [ ] 'Automatially restart' and then press ok.

That way the next time the error occurs your computer will not restart. You can then see the error codes. Once you get all the info you then need to go to the Microsoft site to lookup what to do from the Knowlegde base.

By the way. This is about software not hardware.
