How 2 Proceed Os#.iso?

Downloaded a certain operating system in .iso format (for evaluation purposes off course ).
What do I do with it?
Can I simply burn this to cd-r (winoncd)?

I dont use winoncd, but usually theres an option to Burn iso or Burn Image.
