I reckon the letters would win by pure numbers, like.

Letters. Numbers hurt my head. God bless you, Les. You must have the patience of a saint.

Dear OP,

I prefer numbers although there are a number of letters that i prefer to numbers but make sure you read this letter a number of times...

Yours sincerely, Jiggles.

Numbers!! They are outnumbered by letters, but are stronger and can beat the hell out of letters, as you can make infinity numbers out of digits, but there are only so many words in the English language... :shifty:

The English language is a living entity Rafi.

It has no limits.

The English language is a living entity Rafi.

It has no limits.

Well...it depends on who's using it.

But numbers outnumber words when putting them together.. There's infinity numbers, but what, say, 100-200 words? Numbers all the way :)

P.S: Stating there are only 100-200 words is an exaggeration, obviousment.

If there are an infinite number of numbers then by the same logic there are an infinite number of words.

I read a thing recently which suggested that the idea of there being an infinite amount of numbers is really a bit pointless and in fact childless. The whole, but you can just keep adding 1 argument.

Indeed there's little or no point in anything more than a googolplex.

I tried to get my head around Set Theory the other week. All that 'infinite number of infinities' and the like.

I had to go and lie down. True story.

Anyone who even tries to get their head round that deserves a migraine.

wonder how long it would take to write out the dictionary:dabs: im sure that'll give you one hell of headache

That would kind of depend on which one and whether you were using the abridged version. Most people are familiar with shorter or concise versions. This is what a dictionary really looks like.

...and in fact childless.

Ideas usually have children?

On topic - There can't be infinity words. You can't just add letters into existing words to form infinity other words like you can with numbers. There are only so many words you can create.. Pure logic.

Counting to ten does help before saying what is on your mind.
