I definitely am gonna watch this great program, I've seen some of his other great magic tricks including his spectacular card tricks, his "mind-reading" tricks and much more. BTW: For those who don't know what he's doing, he's staying at the Thames for 44 days and nights with JUST water being fed through a tube; no food, and by living in a plastic box. He is expected to earn £5 mil for this act.

It's on today on Sky One at 8:30pm.

He's no average man, he's blessed somehow ... amazing, but I read an article that the water that he receives is not monitored and it's possible that glucose could be mixed in . Have a look at this (http://www.guardian.co.uk/life/thisweek/story/0,12977,1030116,00.html), article. Do you think pepple will be able to see him at London, or would there be a fee do you think?

I am told the Guinness Book or Records have rejected the application for a record if he does it.

In 1999 (or so) a chap stayed in a barrel 1/8 of the size of this glass box for about 67 days.

I don't know if he was eating tho'

Can I just say, David Blaine is a fantastic magician, I know because I can do most of his tricks :D (yes I'm a magician too :D )

Some of the things he has done are fantastically simple yet so effective, but.....I don't like this endurance stuff, he has made his name and is now trying to be bigger and better every time, in the same way David Copperfeild did, where they end up NOT performing magic, but using props made by other people.

He's a magician. It's an illusion. He's not certainly going to be up there. Just like he wasn't really in those blocks of ice etc.

i think he will be up there - it doesn't seem too hard to stay in a box with nothing but water and books, you won't come down sane but David Blaine is a few fries short of a happy meal

Actually, all his endurance attemps are real, he was in the Ice, which is why he now has a limp (due to frostbite) and tolorence to hot and cold is shot to shit! :)

Trust me, I have access to sites not available to lay people (no offence, nut you need to know things to get in) :D

Yes m8 I have, I have also seen some fantastic card magicians (which is what I do mostly) of 16/18 y/o, one in perticular called Drum!...This guy is so good it's untrue, I have seen him do tricks that I KNOW how they are done and can do them but he still catches me out.

Magic........real magic is done before your very eyes, not on stage, not on tv, but right in front of you.

I can do stuff on stage like they do, the sawing a woman in half thing, ........costs just over £700 for the gear, I used a deck of cards that costs me £1.99 :)

Magic is not the trick, but the feeling of complete dibeleif the spectator gets when seeing a trick :)

David Blaine is really fucking weak. His "Levitation" trick sucks ass!! I'm surprised they could find a box big enough for his ego!! Also, I fail to see how sitting in a box for a few weeks is that impressive. People in prison have to do it every day and they don't have the London skyline to look at every day. There are plenty of instances of people going for longer without food ( IRA hunger strikers??) and there's a good chance he'll cheat and have various additives with his "water". It's just basically a big "everyone look at me" scenario. Anyone that thinks he's amazing should really examine their value systems!! :P

JPaul, Sadowitz is an amazing magician. His close-up card tricks are astounding!!

we want to get one of those lazer pens each, stand in four seperate corners and shine them at him while he is up there in the cage.
so if you see a lilmissy and 3 other stoned fools been carted off in a police wagon, you know whats happened. :D

Most of his tricks are fairly simple to do if you know th slieghts (like I do :D )
Very few use camera fx , but quite a few use gaffs although most of his card tricks are normal decks, the beer tin trick (fills an empty can) is quite hard to do and does NOT use a special can of any sort :D

Well most of them you need to answer certain questions to get in, like:- Name a sleight of hand requering a center lift :D
Altough there are a few about that are just normal sites :)

But trust me, if you like to see magic performed then it will ruin your enjoyment cos like I said most tricks are very simple to perform (once you can do the sleights etc) :)

Honestly.......No, it requires a certain something which I am not prepaird to spend the money on for a trick that you would rarely perform, I prefer to go out at night to a pub or party or sopmething and some big head says to me "here, this is a real deck of cards, do magic"................So I do and he stands there jaw on the floor and says "How'd you do that"

My fav is the card thru window.......you know that one?, where he throws the deck at a window and the card is on the inside?
I do that, but I like to do it thru walls into a different room :D
Same trick, different setting :D

Well, without giving to much away and cos I've never tried it so therefore would'nt know exactly, it involves a gimmick and some preperation that you do not see on film, the gimmicks is very expensive, some neat little gaffs are under a tenna where some can be up over a grand, if I remember right, that one is about £80, which for someone like me who does'nt earn out of it is far too much money to please other people, plus you have to fork out the coins too

@JPaul..........I kinda went off Zenon when I saw him perform a trick I do very badly and I can often see his slieght (not saying I'm better don't get me wrong, but I look at it different to you guys and know what they are doing)

As for Derren Brown.......Amazing man, baffles me and I have read excerp from his book explaing stuff, very very clever, but he is a Mentalist whereas I mainly use Vision illusions :)
