no that is Dedicated box

Thats what i mean.

If i did get about 20MB/s with a vps on gbit line a dedicated gbit line should be great.

I think some one on sct have hosting.ie gbit and have seen him seeding at about 30 MB/s

TechnoMan80
10-10-2008, 08:14 PM
I'll got it

it is truth

it seeds even over 30MB some times

I'm downloading files from rapidshare too,
I can't follow the download progress :))
one click and file is on the desktop :)))

andra

I would like to try a gbit from hosting-ie. But the setup fee + gbit setup is sick high i think. But after all payment its not that expensive.

before it was just for 1Gbit uplink 25 euro plus 99 euro setup :)
that was expensive.
the price for that server with that connections is priceless!

If it is still expensive for you then go to cheapest one Dedicated Rabtor Pro Lin 577-3
or to some 100mbit one,
or to ovh :)

andra

I think i will try this server next month.
But my old hosting-ie server could not handle 100 torrents like my ovh does now.

AcidMan
10-10-2008, 10:51 PM
andraand what package you've been on ?I never hear anithing like that about hosting-ie's dedicated boxeswhat I can't say about Ovh :) I have standard 577 on 2x100 it works like wolf :))

andra
10-10-2008, 11:23 PM
I have been with both their vps with gbit and the

Dedic Raptor Pro Lin 581 Reloaded

Its only 1gb ram but i did think the server was pretty slow.
With my och box im doing about 300GB /day and have about 50- 150 torrents running 24/7 and always max it out on new torrents.

But im looking for a nice gbit :D
I need more speed :P

Maby if you buy a more expensive server. With only 1gb ram you wont get speeds like that with windows.

Go for debian and ask some friend to set it up for you...

pplush259
10-20-2008, 07:42 PM
hmmm, and they r ok with 12-15TB a month on private trackers etc.

andra
10-20-2008, 07:54 PM
its hard to push so mutch traffic on a private tracker. But they dont care really.

pplush259
10-20-2008, 07:58 PM
then it shud be a good idea to consider hosting ie as my next box next month.

Yes I do 12 - 14 TB / month...

But on 2 different IP's. You can request as many IPs as u need from them.. so keep about 7 TB per IP and you would be fine...

Yes 10-12MB/s without overload issues on a windows box..

Just make sure you have the latest south bridge drivers

Hosting-ie people are themselves resellers...

They dont have any resellers... and there is no way to avoid the setup... unless you have been with them for a long time ..

pplush259
10-22-2008, 04:48 AM
there is !! pay yearly. lol

TechnoMan80
10-23-2008, 09:08 PM
there is an other way too :)

they offer resellers deal :

- 30 server in one month: 50% on the setup-fee
- 50 server in one month: 70% on the setup-fee
- 60 server in one month: 100% on the setup-fee

:)

it is exspensive at first coz they have to set it up but if you have for a year it's cheap than most and speeds are excellent .

Since OVH is now starting to cap users I'm thinking of going to this host.

Can anyone tell me the speed I can expect out of the VDS Raptor 1+ package?
It's 512MB ram I know so would I get bottlenecked or disk errors?
I'm planning to run Debian + rtorrent on it

Thanks

Hi sorry not sure if I have to make another tread. I have questions about hosting-ie. About their monthly charge, the tax is not included right? So the 49euro plan would go up to 59 right?

Knat Simon
10-31-2008, 01:14 PM
Im using seedbox.eu (Ohv reseller) and i can not live with being capped everyday so im thinking about buying a server from this hosting-ie.

Will they also cap me if i use to much bandwidth ?

arkan
10-31-2008, 01:29 PM
Yes add 19% for VAT

BethCooper
10-31-2008, 03:38 PM
Knat Simon:
They wont cap you, they dont really care for p2p useage either.
But, if you use more than ~17TiB per month they wont like you :) and might even cancel your server (not likely but it has happened)

I have only had a Vps there so far, but I'm going for a better server soon,
what do you all think about the Rabtor Pro Lin 577-1 ?
2x100Mbit switch port, 2GB Ram, 320GB hdd, sounds great to me for a reasonable price, even though the setup fee is sick..

@ AnesZverotic - Yeah thats the same server i am goin to get.. i think the setup fee is pretty high and also i am reading that they have a very looong setup period.

Anybody know how many days it takes hosting-ie to set up a dedicated server ?

11-04-2008, 06:53 AM
TechnoMan what OS do you use for your 1Gbit box? Whats your max speed so far?

I am thinking of Windows OS with their 1Gbit server (Lin 577-3, 2GB ram)

I wonder if i can get some good speed? I am happy with 30-50mb/s upload.

Thanks for your advice. :)

Just remember that if you got for the 6 month plan for the AMD servers it is reduced to usually 19euro. The Intel ones are generally no charge for a 12 month plan, though that's a bit long for most. By the sounds of it, a few of us here could band together and buy up a hosting-ie box?

I have been running the 49euro month Dedic Raptor Pro Lin 577 package for a few months now and have had no complaints at all with the service.

From completing my order it took 7 days to have the server set up and running. The speeds have been good, have had no down time and any queries I have had have been answered quickly and efficiently.

I would not have any reasons not recommend them apart from the setup fee being a little on the high side.

Hope this helps anyone that is considering one of their servers.

No...stay away from them! Setup takes at least a week and support is HORRIBLE. It takes them DAYS to respond to an email and they don't 'work' on the weekends. I have the GB 777 and it's such crap. Never seen anything over 15MB/sec upload and that's with 30+ leechers on LW, OVH and server.lu boxes leeching from me.

Stay away. Seriously... I'm so pissed off at them.

They claim 24/7 support through ICQ, but I have never seen them sign on since I've been with them (almost three weeks)

They charged me 15 euros each time for an OS reinstall and that took a week each time.

I have a box from them and easily can go to 30-40MB it must be some wrong with your configuration.
and you are lucky man , keyweb charges 30EURO for reinstall and if you are on self managed default support level there is nothing free, but they still do a loot of stuff for free if you are nice enough and if it depends to them.

My OVH gigabit gets much faster speeds and it's dedicated gigabit, not shared like hosting-ie. I can do 70MB/sec with no problems on OVH, where as hosting-ie struggles to get to 30MB, and does it for a minute or so. I don't expect to pay to have to pay for reinstall if it wasn't my fault.

Hell yeah. LAN Transfers FTW! OVH has 50,000 servers, so yeah my chance of seeding to another OVH is very high. Even when I peer outside OVH, I'm getting at least 200mbps constantly (Their new SLA which was implemented a few weeks ago). Unlike with hosting-ie, which just burts up to 30MB and does a constant 1-2MB/sec. They don't tell you how many servers are sharing that gbit line, which is the problem, because you have too many people sucking up the bandwidth.

AcidMan

I've just got my box tested to get some files from debian's repository (Which is obviously out of network) can get about 35MB /s

Which is more than enough for me

Good luck getting 35MB on a private tracker, especially upload. When you have 30+ peers with seedboxes leeching from you and you're only doing 8-15MB on a gigabit line; that's a problem.

But to each their own. The trackers I use all have OVH and .lu peers so speeds are great on my EG Max, unlike my GB 777.

But please, hop onto ScT or SCC and post a screenshot of you uploading 30+MB/sec :) I have never seen it on my GB 777.
