-Pre Season 4 Family Guy

-Pre Season 10-12 The Simpsons

-King of the Hill (there is a special kind of humor here, shame not to many people can understand/appreciate it, I love this show!)

-South Park (starting to run out of ideas, anything before season 10 is great stuff with a few exceptional eps after that season).

-Futurama

-Robot Chicken (sometimes can get pretty annoying though)

and of course, in my opinion, one of the funniest shows that existed:

Trailer Park Boys (personally didn't like the movie, didn't hold a candle to the show, anything before and including season 5 is pure unadultered comedy gold)

One of my favorite sitcoms of all-time. Also one of the best ensemble casts in a sitcom ever, because the characters supported and interacted with each other so well. Phil Hartman was a legend. And he was fantastic on SNL, too.

Hence, general Hospital, whatever the fuck that is, must be a comedy series.

It's sunny in Philadelphia. The whole cast is funny as hell, but Danny devito is in a class way above most funny actors. I hope to see him in a lot more tv shows and movies. Another great show is the in betweeners. The series is over now, but they are making a movie out of it. The movie should come out in the near future.

If you haunt checked these tv series out I highly recommend them.

I think that scrubs was poorly done, bad writers actors on their last limb, and a stupid story line. Thank god it finnaly ended because i love comedy central and that show was always on. I have never really watch how i met your mother but if you think scrubs is the funniest show out then I have no plans on watching it in the future. There are so many other shows that are hilarious. QFT. Unbelievable show. Became my favorite after 1 episode. The 5th season is confirmed and I can't wait.

It's got some of my favourite lines ever:
Moss: "You better put seatbelts on your ears, Roy, 'cause I'm about to take them for the ride of their lives."
Moss: "I came here to drink milk and kick ass. And I just finished my milk."

Haha. I wonder how long they'll be able to keep Chris O'Dowd around before he blows up.

Degradation and suffering is one thing but I personally still think you need explicit violence for something to be really funny.

:o I've a sense that might just be the feel-good movie of the year.

As much as I like slapstick comedy, Requiem for a Dream just doesn't cut the mustard, however. Not one banana peel in sight

I agree. Once Topher Grace (Eric Foreman) left, the show went downhill though. It was still enjoyable, but didn't have that same "magic" that it did before. I still watch the reruns every now and again.

They may be a bit before you kiddies time, but Rowan and Martin's Laugh In was hilarious with it's skewering of the current events of the day and they had the time of their lives with Watergate. But The Carol Burnet Show has to be in at the top five of all time best comedy shows. You can check out both on You Tube.

Wow, a cop show without perps. A TV drama with guns and not 'necessary' evil. Moral, caring cops with emotional consequences. Explosions, when all else fails.

I like 'The Unit' (also on CBS) when it addresses the egregious use of force needed to defend against force and the guilt that comes from fighting evil with evil actions. They have their moments of destruction far from home and leave the guilt for later (when they are home). Flashpoint takes place down the street. In your office building or mall. The consequences of action or inaction are to be replayed in their mind, home, community and above all on TV. And despite the preparations our heroes take, it just doesn't assuage the situations that go tits up.

This show is grounded in moral motives that will pierce the heart of it's viewers. Let the Rambo's have their shows, and let us tread the thin, ever moving and twisting thin blue line of Flashpoint. In the show's own words, "We're not here to target practice, we're here to save lives".

They still kill people but then they need to apologize.

I dunno about you but personally I watch "cop shows" for the vicarious thrills. If I wanted "caring",I'd watch Lifetime.

I don't watch alot of TV but there are 4 or 5 comedy that I download when they come out.

Eastbound and Down - This show is the best!
Curb Your Enthusiasm (not sure if this show is still on or what...takes a year off every now and again)
South Park
It's Always Sunny In Philladelphia
Family Guy
Mrs. Brown's Boys (This got a little annoying after a while but I still watch it for now)

I just listed Eastbound and Down as well. I was so glad when they announced a 4th season for it but I had no idea when it was coming out. Then last week I saw it listed so I downloaded it right away and wasn't dissapointed.
This show is just fucking awesome!
Judging from the first episode Season 4 should be awesome.

Shameless was very funny. Is it still on?
I never saw the American version. Just wondering for those folks that have seen the two dif. versions which do they
prefer? Which is funnier?

I heard Gavin MacLeod interviewed on the Howie Carr Show. Man, he was involved in some funny shows.
McHale's Navy. The Mary Tyler Show (Murray). Love Boat ( Captain Stubing) His reminiscence about Ted Knight aka Ted Baxter and Betty White, Tim Conway (Ensign Parker), and Joe Flynn ( Capt. Binghamton) had me in stitches.
I found it on the internet via Tune-in? a radio app by chance. Worth a listen.
