SDBits does not allow the xvid codec. Nearly perfect x264 MKV's or uncompressed MPEG-2 VOB's only.

Plus winza's got only 50 torrents and nothing to do with xVids they said

Wow, this I didn't know. So they're into quality then. This is the reason why I've kind of lost interest in PTN lately(still think it's a nice tracker though with huge potential and excellent request section). Ever since I started watching watching HD and standard x264's, I have had no interest in xvids anymore.

If SDbits has a lot of content...more content than x264(which I'm not a member, but recently had a friend show me a screen of their stats, and their content looked really low, so that made me uninterested in joining the site) then I'll might have to get me an invite.

well then you will prob be letdown by sdbits... they only started relatively recently... within the past few months...

right now there's about 1,300 torrents... compare that with their sister-site HDBits which has over 15,000

really HDbits should always be the goal cause why not have a copy of everything in highdef... even if you don't have a nice highdef TV right now eventually everyone will have one.

Thank you for the info. And yeah, I got into HD in a big way, but haven't gotten an invite to HDbits yet since I've read multiple times that they are insanely strict on inactivity. Like if you don't up or down 1GB a week then you're disabled? I have no idea if that is actually true or not. And there is usually never a week that I don't find at least one download to grab. But there are those occasional weeks(especially in the summer time) that there just isn't anything that your interested in. I know that "use it or lose it" is what all trackers want, but having to do a certain amount each week(even something as small as one 1GB), is just a little strict. In my opinion. As I'm a strong believer that you shouldn't have to download anything you don't just to remain a trackers idea of active.

But again, I have no idea how true that actually is, as I just recently got into HD so I never had interest nor did I need that site. But...until I find out for sure their inactivity policy, Bit-HDTV is doing just fine for me. I really think it's one of the most underrated sites.

But anyways, I'll keep my eye on SDbits for when they really start stepping it up content wise(which actually 1,300 torrents for a tracker that's only been around a few months is pretty descent in my opinion).

And my apologies to ovisan for posting off topic in your thread.
