Congratulations. Glad you got it. Plus won.

I'm not within 200 miles of you and you still know me. To a point, like.

You'll make friends, love them, enjoy them, fall out with them and reunite.

All within the space of your first week.

Go next week for a few days then back here then up permanently from the 27th. I am very very scared.

You'll get used to it quick enough. I spend like half my work-weeks living in a city full of people with a srsly annoying accent, and the people I'm meant to work with have gone all critical on me lately, taking out their frustrations about other aspects of the project on myself. I'll still go there though, and I'll still be enjoying myself on my off-hours.

There's always some shop you can go to wot has stuff you don't have at home, or you can watch movies or read at your hotel room.

Mp3 player loaded with audio books, and a cheap laptop, and you're golden.

My boss pays mine, books them too. He worries me sometimes, though. Sometimes it's pretty last minute.

When they asked about accommodation I've specified close to place of work and internet access and they've agreed.

I've got that now. Earlier on down here I was was at a hotel farther away, and had to pay extra for interwebs, and they didn't even have wireless. I think I mentioned something to that effect.

It sucked, anyhow. Made my boss pay for the interwebs in the end, though.

If they ever start grumbling about your internet access just say you need it to do work related research or something.

Still all happening too quickly!

Try and be positive about it, and things tend to fall into place.
