Why are we even discussing about his forum?

Members around here will avoid your site if you advertise like you did. If you want to add a small link to you site, just put it as your signature. Join in with our discussions here and if people start to like you they will check out your site though the link in your sig.

I think if you try that approach you will have much better success here.

A' had no issue with his "crappy" coding. It looked fine and the layout was beautiful. Any runtime errors were removed from my eyes.

You have obviously put a lot of work into this and it is to your credit.

However have you ever noticed that forums with a bright background are much more successful than dark ones. The fact is your page looks really stylish, however normal human psychology will stop people using it.

There is a very simple reason for this .... we grow up writing with a dark colour on a piece of white paper. Anything else goes against the grain and we find it oppressive.

So if style is more important than content then leave it how it is and be proud of what you have done. However if you want people to actually join in then a radical re-think is in order.
