Ubuntu confusing ? Wtf
Use 1 gbit on windows is not a good idea cuz getting some disk read error...
so ppl usually using it on ubuntu or debian if you're thinking ubuntu confusing dont try debian:P
about on windows and 1 gbit umm i think your max out and incoming will be around 20MB/s :P if you're lucky but i saw ppl who getting 70MB/s upload on ubuntu...

You must increase the cache file size. In uTorrent go to: Options --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Disk Cache --> "Override Automatic cache size and specify the size manually (MB):" Set it to 512Mb to forgot the Overload problems.

Maybe the problem comes from Windows, I have two Gbit's servers with Debian 4.0 etch and no problem with any of them.

The problem is Windows. Set your total connections to a reasonable amount (200) and experiment with capping the download speed.

Ideally you should switch to a Linux distro. I recommend Debian :)
