Seedright setup time

Hey,

I have ordered yesterday a dedicated server from seedright, and yet got no email confirming receiving the order or when will be installed.

Do I need to start worrying or is it normal?
How much does it usually take to put it online?

I had been using a seedbox from seedright. After using for about 8 days, OVH converted the server to noSLA. :( I used to get really good speeds. But they returned me the money for the remaining 22 days.

man, ovh is getting over the nerves with no SLA on every other server.. Are their any resellers from other hosting providers which give quality bandwidth for just a lil more price.

received an email from the guy saying the order is in place on OVH and I will get access over the weekend. and it usually takes 1 - 2 working days so setup my server.

I will keep you posted on when I get the access...

R u guys up for a very harsh seedrite review .. I am willing to post one if anyone can assist me as i dont have much time .. The guy is pretty useless and i speak from my own experience .. If i could go back in time i wud have got this from Slayer or a.microsoft .. Atleast they are online to report the problems .. This guy just takes your money and vanishes ..

Just received my server.

I was surprised the system language was Spanish. It wasn't that hard to change it to English manually, but still, usually English is the default language.

I also was surprised that NXServer/node/client was pre-installed and running. It's a useless resource hog for me as I'm running rtorrent. So I had to uninstall that crap.

Anyhow, I'm satisfied with their service. Pretty fast setup time (weekend was in between) and they seem trustworthy. Prices are good too.

I can recommend them.

I've had the same experiances with this guy, Bought the 200mbit seebox from him.. Great setup time, but the good parts stopped there, I've never seen it go above 4mb/s, also the settings in utorrent didnt match, the descriptions of the "box", it said I would have unlimited torrents, however it was setup to only allow 8.. A few days ago the box went down, or he cancled my account on it. I sent him a few emails about the it, however he dosent respond to my mails.

I'll be up for helping you with this review.

I have had a basic webui box with him for about 2 weeks. I used it for a day, great speeds, then it went down and when it came back up, the original torrents were gone. Whatever, they were just test runs. I used it for a few more days, still good speeds, keeping up like a regular kimsufi.

Now the box is up, I have connected through ftp (but have not tried vnc, it is a pain on my Mac so I didn't bother this time). However, my webui will not load at all for over a week. He didn't respond to email sent 3 days ago. Lame way to lose $20.

I dont understand why his setup times are so long.
I mean it should be 3 days max!
Id be worried after 5 days and open a dispute if i didnt recieve a reply as to why.

i Pmed him and ask about setup time and here was his response :

Now we are delivering servers in a 24horas or less. If you pay it now, tomorrow at 2:20pm (GMT +1) you will have the server ready to use.

For Dedicated servers, we are installing NX Client (the most complete and efficient), the server must comply with the rules of OVH's SLA.

* SLA STANDARD: Traffic secured and priority (QoS) in routers (routers).

If you are advised to use the server in situations of network congestion (in working hours).

During periods of saturation of the network traffic from the servers with SLA,
will have priority in routers.

The guaranteed maximum bandwidth is 100 Mbps per customer, non-burstable.
If it exceeds the maximum guaranteed on a server (24 hours using the full 100Mbits), that server is passed as noBurstable Standard (non-SLA). You can have the server upping all day with an average of 70Mbps and you don´t miss the SLA.

48 hours after, still nothing, and not even any response. Is it possible to raise a dispute on paypal based on this?

im pretty sure the next reason will be OVH doesn't work weekends and more delays.

that's wat i wrote in the thread earlier, new guys coming in, taking a few orders and then no support.. This isnt a right way of doing business on forums. Customer Service is more important than sales, one sale of 40e wont make u more than 10e but one month of efficient customer service gets u 10 more sales.

ovh dont work weekends but ive had plenty of servers deployed at the weekends.

I have waited 9 days now for a dedicated server at seedright. I opened a thread on their support forum several days ago, no reponse. I just opened a dispute at paypal. I suggest people hold back ordering from them.

no response at all. opened dispute with paypal as well, i doubt he'd ever reply.

have a copy of his initial reply saying server delivery is 24 hours or less as proof later on.

am not happy at all.

I've used many different hosting companies for seedboxes, and it is clear to me that this guy was overwhelmed by the volume of business and his service is shit. I'm not waiting on an email another week, I'll just eat the $20.

Until know i think that seedplace.eu and seedhost.eu are the most known and reliable OVH resellers right?
Do you know any other ovh reseller as good as those 2?

I had a great experience with Slayer2005. Good price, good support, very friendly.

It took 2 days to get the server but you have figure in the time it takes to transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank and then order the server.

I highly recommend him.
