View Full Version : What ports are open in uTorrent?

What ports are not being blocked in uTorrent? I have RCN cable. On another p2p forum, they told me to try 49152+. I tried 49152 and it is being blocked. It doesn't matter how low or how high my ports are, they are blocked. A while ago, I tried something like 10000 and it was blocked. What should I do in this case? I use the built in Speed Guide for uTorrent. Here is the error I get when I tried 49152.

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).

I am trying that now. I am running into a problem.

On portforward.com, in the Static IP section. For the IP address, it says put something different other then what I connect to my router with. I connect with my router, 192.168.0.1

In Control Panel, I put 192.168.0.10

It won't connect to my interface. At this moment, I am able to access pages. Not sure if that will change.

That would be because
192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.10 are the proly being seen as the same

Try something higher like 192.168.0.555

The last nmuber can only go up to, 255. If you type in 255 then the submask goes wrong/invalid as well. I typed in 192.168.0.155 and still can't connect to the router.

In both, my IP address in Network Connections--Properties-->TCP/IP-->Properites and then filled in the fields. I also put it in my browser to connect to the router.

nooonoonoooo, your router ip aka gateway is still the 192.168.0.1
try to put _your_ ip address the 192.168.0.xxx, subnet can be what it gives there, default gateway is the router ip aka 192.168.0.1

I just tried to switch those around, and it cut off my internet.
