It works on Vista also, I did it a while ago with my external Hard Disks. Nice job on this one, I think someone might take use of this guide.

Just do what said, it is not necessary to see images.

Press START -> Run -> type "cmd" without quotes and press enter.
Then type -- convert drive: /fs:ntfs

Thats all:)

Thank you - I feel a deja vu after reading your post, though... perhaps because the exact same thing you're saying is already stated right above it?

Thanks , but the first time i needed converting i backed up my data and formatted every Driver .

I guess most of us are using NTFS now , AFAIK no need to use FAT32 nowadays

Thanks again

AFAIK no need to use FAT32 nowadays

I wouldn't say so. Removable drives use FAT, and I'd like to see you installing Windows 98, for example, on an NTFS drive.

Fat32 is still used alot as you said.

I know when modding a wii with a usb loader, the hard drive performs much better with fat32 format than ntfs.
(mainly due to software limitations, although some ntfs loaders have become available).
Also as you said removable media is also big on this format.

Never the less.... Nice work lol.

this can potentially be risky for your data

You should never say never, but that's being a bit alarmist.

I always thought that there was a risk to lose data . Is this true ?

If everything goes well (i.e. no errors or power failures, and the partition converted is on a healthy disk) there's no reason to lose your data.
