Porn Folder

I have a Porn folder with about 5,000 pictures in it and when I double click on the folder it takes a while to come up and it also takes a while to view the pictures in the folder. What I was wondering is if there was a setting or something I can change to make it load faster. Thank

its probably coz you viewing the pictures as thumbnails and these are taking time to load. open the folder then click view in top toolbar and then select list or tile or details, this will stop all the image preview showing.

why not just add more subfolders within that one folder?
my athlon 2700 (with 512 meg ram) struggles when opening folders with a lot of pics in them

u could put like 200-400 in a subfolder each.

e.g My Porn 1 - 400 Images
My Porn 2 - 400 Images

i would do what was advised before and make subfolders, that way all the files/photos are not being held in ram til you go to open them. it might take ya a while but it will speed things up, and hey at least it will be easier to find a particular photo if you say have themed folders ie dogs, sheep, girls on dogs etc etc :D

i have a lot more than that l think like 7gig worth of picks and my folder does take a bit to load up too but not that long maybe 5 to 8 seconds or so but what do you expect?? you sir need mor RAM RAM RAM :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

My porn folder got so sticky that Windows couldn't open it at all!

I had to call the fire department and they used the jaws of life to pry it open.

A good bath and some baby powder really fixed things up again.

also, if you get TweakUI for XP, you can change the image quality & pixel size for thumbnail views..
both of which may speed things up a bit if you lower the settings.
You can also toggle thumbnail caching, but I don't remember where that setting is...
