Anyone know why HDBits.org has been unavailable for the last couple days?

Their site was down for couple hours yesterday, and went down again this evening till now ... watch sticky on site down and up, you'll know when it's back.

nope it's not a DDoS attack rather someone stole the owners surge protector and hdbits is now prone to surges....

doesn't it have to update the track every 30 minutes? I don't think theres a way to get credit if the trackers down for a number of hours, since its not connecting to the track for the update?

lol seeding on hdbits always seems so easy. ive done around 700 GB on that heroes torrent thats stickied and right now im around 70 GB from that fifa torrent from today and its only 47% done. love it.

i think as long as you dont' close utorrent until the tracker's back up, it'll update everything accordingly. sucks to be me though since i restarted my computer and i guess all that uploading went to shit. now i can't even connect at all. -_-

I don't know for sure, but I very much doubt it. It seems much more likely that the server crashed due to the excess workload from freeleech.

heroes is going around 500 kb/s and fifa is around 3.4 MB/s but its been all over the place for the fifa one since it started because the seeder's upload isnt that great. and those seem about the same as when the site was working for me.

and i highly doubt it will be gone forever, all sites have hiccups from time to time.
