looks like there isn't much differcne besides the look of the two, i like the one with the blue face as compared to the single color gray one. :) hope that is of some help....

I have a linksys router (and love it).

I don't know about those modems. My modem is Alcatel speedtouch.

I'm not sure if there really is much difference between each model of ADSL modem. Just check with you intended Internet Service Provider to ask them if that modem is recommended.

I'm connected to a D-Link 604 w, I've found it is very easy to configure, I don't know about the another one though.

Edit: but you were talking about the modems, can't help you there, I've got a speedtouch too. sorry.

I have a Linksys ethernet adapter for my cable modem, and it's pretty good but arn't all cable modem adapters mostly the same?

ADSL has different speeds for up and download, usually higher downwards. It's often slower than pure broadband as well. Mine's 512/256.

there are 2 companies that feel comfortable with, the most. Linksys or 2wire. stick w/linksys. sometimes staying with one company on all products can be beneficial.

You can directly post those links as images:

http://www.telus.com/images/products/telusimages/linksys_me3_lg.jpg

http://www.telus.com/images/products/telusimages/dsl300g_lg.jpg

And, yes, ADSL is broadband.
