I think that you have a pretty decent collection which can cover all of your needs! None of the trackers you are writing at the end of your post con offer you something more content-wise. If you are also looking into community, you can try a couple of them though with strong communties like iTS or TiT!

Definitely. You already have more than enough. You can already find whatever you want with the collection of trackers you already have.

No, I'm not a collector. I actually use the trackers I have, and I don't seek stuff out just because it's rare or elite. I was just curious whether it's actually worth bothering to try getting invites to any other trackers (especially the ones that everyone is always requesting) considering what I have already. Is that so bad? If you can't be helpful or constructive, maybe you could just STFU, yes? ;)

Thanks, that is helpful. I guess it would be cool to check those two sites out, but if they don't offer much in terms of content that I can't get elsewhere, I probably won't make the effort :)

Pron :- The best is BMTorrents ..get it as you dont have it .. They finally have a invite system but i dont knw if its active as of now .
0-day - Get Thegft .. Loads of nice music releases coupled with nice 0-day xxx and Appz .... Everything else is pretty much fast and available on other sites as well but there is no ratio system here :)

Thanks, but I probably won't bother trying to get an invite there - I probably should have left porn off the list, as the porn sites I have already fill my sick perverted needs, and the last thing I need is to get distracted by more porn.

Thanks again. I'd like to check it out. I've never been on a no-ratio site and it would be cool to check it out. I put an "application" in to their staff, so we'll see.

So, any suggestions? iTS? ScL? PTN? SDBits? GFT? TiT? Personal favorites?

iTS, ScL Not as cool as you think.
SDBits is a great site, definitely recommend and I'd give you an invite maybe if I could.
GFT is nice, but inactive.
TiT seems like a cool place I don't use it much though.

FTN is my favorite site, maybe you could try for that.

I'll give a little more serious answer this time. In my opinion, from the sites you mentioned the only one you would really benefit from is SDBits. They have content that can't be found every where. If you like standard x264 tv and movies, then get an invite. I think it's an excellent site.

For 0day, you already have your bases covered with IPT(my favorite site) and TL. Two of the top 0day sites in my opinion. They both have a shit load content.

As for HD, I would get into Bit-HDTV. It's easy to get into(compared to HDBits), has great content, and very nice staff.

You're pretty much set, IMO

Of course, you could always try for those rare trackers

why Indietorrents for music? I've never noticed anything particularly good/special about that tracker.. if you want another general music tracker then i'd get softmp3, but i guess what and waffles are all you really need

I am mainly interested in general content, 0-day and/or movie trackers that might be useful.

Any of 500 trackers with exactly the same content should satisfy you. :smilie4:

If you are interested in getting better quality rips than from the scene, then x264 is definitely worth looking into. SDBits too.

Apart from that I don't see anything you lack, since no HD, no DVDr, no foreign etc.

iTS, ScL Not as cool as you think.

That seems to be the consensus from what I've read :) I won't bother.

SDBits is a great site, definitely recommend and I'd give you an invite maybe if I could.

Cool. It turns out they give SDBits invites to power users on Waffles, so I'll probably request one there and try it out.

GFT is nice, but inactive.

I applied for an invite/account, but if it doesn't come I probably won't bother with it.

TiT seems like a cool place I don't use it much though.

Cool. TiT also gives invites to Waffles power users, so maybe I'll request one just to check it out.

FTN is my favorite site, maybe you could try for that.

Yeah, me and everyone else in the torrent world. :( I won't be holding my breath.

For 0day, you already have your bases covered with IPT(my favorite site) and TL. Two of the top 0day sites in my opinion. They both have a shit load content.

Agreed, TL is probably my favorite site (although I'm a music freak so Waffles and What are up there too), and it's nice for whoever runs IPT that it seems to get the respect it deserves these days.

As for HD, I would get into Bit-HDTV. It's easy to get into(compared to HDBits), has great content, and very nice staff.

I guess we'll see when I make the upgrade to HD content (first I need a faster connection and a bigger screen, haha), but I understand they give out HDBits invites to Waffles power users, so maybe I'll do that if/when the time comes.

why Indietorrents for music? I've never noticed anything particularly good/special about that tracker.

IndieTorrents was one of my first private trackers (along with Oink). As Funkin' points out, it is a great place to discover new music. Sometimes I check out the most seeded torrents and find cool stuff not found on the Waffles/What top-10 lists. Also, it's a nice little close-knit community with some cool people.

if you want another general music tracker then i'd get softmp3, but i guess what and waffles are all you really need

Agreed. It Waffles/What ever go down (gosh forbid, knock on wood, etc.) then SoftMP3 or STMusic might be a good alternative.

P.S. There are some great albums in your signature :)

I know you're going to keep chasing an FTN invite purely from the hype generated by this site and others(as I and every other member there did). But I use IPT and TL way more than FTN. The other two sites has about three times more content. FTN is just another 0day site. So I wouldn't waste too much time or energy chasing that ever eluding invite.

If you're mainly interested in 0day content and nothing else about a tracker, then just stick with TL. No need to waste your hours trying to collect a FTN invite when you can have the same stuff uploaded under 2 minutes later at TL. TL also has a request section for scene releases, so I'd just use that too.

As for 'general' content, I'd stick with Demonoid; speeds may not be so hot, but breadth of content is guaranteed.

So I was looking at the trackers at which I'm a member and the list of trackers here on FST, and started wondering what other trackers might actually be worth making the effort to get into. Here's what I have now:

0-Day and General: TL, SCC, TB, IPTorrents, Demonoid
Music: Waffles, What, IndieTorrents
Movies: Karagarga, Cinemageddon, Secret-Cinema, TehConnection, The Horror Charnel
TV: BitMeTV, TVTorrents.com, TV-Vault
Learning: BitMe, BitSpyder
Pron: PureTnA, Cheggit, Empornium

Considerations:
- I am mainly interested in general content, 0-day and/or movie trackers that might be useful to me.
- I am not interested in non-English sites or sites with mostly non-English content
- I am not interested in HD sites (I'll hit HDBits.org if I finally start downloading HD content)
- I am not interested in trackers specializing in gaming, Mac stuff, DVDRs, lossless music, specific musical genres, music videos, magic, sports, wrestling/MMA/fighting, anime, children, or christian.

So, any suggestions? iTS? ScL? PTN? SDBits? GFT? TiT? Personal favorites?

You pretty much have everything worth having. Especially after seeing your non interested list.

Dude, thats plenty of sites for everything that you could want. Your the definition of a collector. You probably rarely use half of those sites. Just stick with a few sites and work on your reputation at those sites.

I like to have 1 main and 1 backup site for my interests.

TL and sc*
what and waffles
hdb and bithdtv

occasionally I will use underground gamer for classic stuff

Got all my bases covered well, and maintain good ratios and am active at all of them.

Dude, thats plenty of sites for everything that you could want.

Thanks. Unfortunately, this is the only helpful sentence in your post. :(

Your the definition of a collector.

As I stated in response to a baseless "collector" accusation above:

No, I'm not a collector. I actually use the trackers I have, and I don't seek stuff out just because it's rare or elite. I was just curious whether it's actually worth bothering to try getting invites to any other trackers (especially the ones that everyone is always requesting) considering what I have already.

(BTW, it's "You're," not "Your." It's not just a spelling mistake - they are completely different words, and many people will assume you are unintelligent or uneducated (or both) when you can't use the right one.) :whistling

You probably rarely use half of those sites.

That's probably somewhat accurate. I use many of the sites I listed quite frequently. Some others, like the more specialized trackers (CG, Horror Charnel, TV-Vault, IndieTorrents) and Demonoid, I use less frequently, since I go on them mainly to get specific content that I am unable or unlikely to find elsewhere. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. How frequently (or infrequently) I use a site is really irrelevant. Bottom line: I use, enjoy and keep a good ratio on all the sites at which I'm a member.

Just stick with a few sites and work on your reputation at those sites.

I like to have 1 main and 1 backup site for my interests.

Thanks Dad, but I didn't ask for advice on torrenting best practices (I'm not a noob) - I just wondered if there were any sites that might be worth checking/trying out.

Great, glad to hear it. :)
