View Full Version : Best way to secure an ftp server?
I'm running bulletproof ftp server on my desktop in my dorm which I leave on all the time so that I can get to my files. I know FTP isn't all that secure so I was wondering what the best way to secure it would be? SSL?

and also don't use port 21 use a port of your own eg 4567
found a nice guide here - http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-guides-and-tutorials-65/t-setting-up-ftp-server-ssl-276623
