thats actually the cheapest re-selling price, seedhost is 85p/m not including the initial 50euro setup fee. i contacted one of the trusted ovh resellers, and they said it would be around 75pounds for the same server.

Well, for those who was curious about the service... I'm new to seedbox stuff, as well as I'm a new member here. I started this month with seedbox.fr, which was a thing to forget, so I was looking for replacement and eventually came to seedplace.eu.

I have a shared seedbox "SBox 1" account for 18EUR/month, which is currently unavailable to subscribe for, but anyway... if noone replied yet about the service, let me be the first.

I'm running it for more than a week already. Set up took just a couple of hours since the moment I clicked pay button at PayPal. I got uTorrent web UI, which is running very smoothly. I keep it open almost all the time and it's very quick and stable.

Speeds are very good. I have seen DL reaching maximum 10MB/sec and UL at about 8MB/s. Total speeds with max (8) torrents running are varying depending on number of leechers, and if there's a number of hot torrents, UL can reach 5-6M/sec, and average UL speed for "long play" torrents is about 2+MB/sec. For DL I always got the fastest speed possible, and if there's enough fast seeders, it's no problem to have a 1.37Gb file coming in a matter of minutes at full 10MB/s throttle.

I have access to files via SFTP, which is fast enough for me, as I have my home 7Mbps DL bandwidth fully occupied when downloading. I don't have an ability to test FTP at bigger speed though.

I had some problems with my box, but all of them got resolved. Here comes some good words about Support. My support tickets (I have about 15+ so far) get answered from impressive several minutes to still very reasonable several hours. Most of tickets get answered very quickly. In addition I must say, seedplace Admin is a very nice guy, answering my every n00b question and making some configuration changes I'm asking for.

The seedbox stuff is still at beta-testing period, that's where my problems came from, but no matter to beta, the service is very reliable. It was always up and running, I've seen neither downtime nor expected access problems, which are bugging me at seedbox.fr. So I feel happy I was quick and jumped in SBox 1 plan when it was available, and I think this service will get very popular when the registration for seedbox plans is re-opened.

Probably I forgot to mention some details, and you might want to know some specific things, but in general that's it.

Sent the admin an e-mail for my server request.

Replied me after 8 hours or so which is quite good. We were emailing back and forth since i asked for a server + an additional hard disk .. He gave me the price and all . Then i remembered that there is no option in the order form to order an additional harddisk and also , the only payment method was alert pay only (1 week ago i asked him, he said it's ok as long as we register with our paypal e-mail ) ANyways i sent him an e-mail regarding that, but didn't get any reply. Maybe he is busy , but considering we were e-mailing back and forth without any delay , i don't know what to say.. Anyways, Might jst stay with seedhost if he don't respond since my server expires on the 8th .. In a rush actually :D


edit: he just e-mailed me saying he'll add all the options there :naughty: and they're doing some maintanence now.. For now, it seems he is a great person :)

I hardly believe it's possible... For me the biggest DL was 11MB/sec, which is about maximum available at 100Mbps connection. Probably your box is on a gigabit server, I dunno if it's available from OVH :blink:

From what I remember OVH servers that get shared are run off 2x100Mbps lines but still 43mb/sec is only achievable on a 1Gbp connection.

SBox 1 is a shared seedbox in which 6 users can co-currently use it. This means the bandwidth is shared amongst users but with that trade off comes great prices!

Are you sure about this? I'm with seedplace as well and I've hit 8.9megs/sec up before... but usually it does sway around 2megs/sec

I did order a rps just to test it for somesmall mp3 seeding.
I did get m server in a about 4 hours after payment.
I do get about 6MB/s up and down.
My tickets is answerd in max 3 hours all the time

You're wrong about 2MB cap. Seedplace doesn't have it. Remember, you're sharing seedbox with others. I'm not quite sure how come you guys get 100mbit+ speeds.

Admin is very friendly, answered my every question, installed another utorrent version on my seedbox and fixed it several times i fucked up something. ;)
So all in all, i can fully recommend seedplace.eu, nice support and speeds are pretty good, too (highest i got was 10mb/s down and 8 mb/s up)

You're wrong about 2MB cap. Seedplace doesn't have it. Remember, you're sharing seedbox with others. I'm not quite sure how come you guys get 100mbit+ speeds.
How can you say I am wrong? I am the one using the seedbox and I know what kind of speeds I am getting. I get more than 20-30 MB/s download but 2 MB/s upload even on new torrents from TL, which have plenty of leechers. Even if I am sharing it with others, how is it possible that not a single time I have got speeds even touching 3 MB/s.

I just got an RPS with an upgrade to 20GB HDD and it's not bad. I also seem to be capped at 2MB/s upload as well like the poster above said. I also only have 14GB instead of a full 20GB (I guess OS files count towards your storage?) which sucks imo.

I'm still fairly happy with it, mostly because I have server access rather than just a webui. I will still renew.

Our situations are a bit different. He does have access to your server (you're basically paying him to use his server) while my RPS is out of his hands (apparently). I have access to the OS so I don't use webui, I have full control of what settings to use in utorrent.

As you can see ichigo has an RPS server and not seedbox plan. And RPS has its pros that you can access your server, its entirely yours and lot more secure. And ofcourse you doesn't have the same ip as someone else has when seeding at the same tracker.
