Your 'behold the night sky' bit just turned me into a bubbling wreck

That's a bit harsh.

In other news, I clearly adapted it from elsewhere. I'm not like a sensitive soul or anything like that. Heaven forfend. Bet Les knows what you were talking about without looking at this.

I've only ever watched Roots once and I was too young to appreciate it.

Must've been like 7 or 8. Still remember Chicken George and the beginning when Kunta Kinte gets captured, like.

I'd Love to watch it again. Might see if I can dig out the book.

Ben, he's probly got it or can get it or something else.

Hoi ben, root Chavis up or do something else.

In other news, when No1 son was born I got him first because of stuff going on. Saw his eyes open for the first time and everything. Then took him over to the window and showed him the night sky. I didn't think the Universe was greater than him, as great maybe but not greater.

I'm sure Skweeky feels the same of young Jim (I'll call him what I want Dutch, let it lie). She's right too.

Yeah, despite having Ben (as in, my Ben, not that dodgy veggie who posts here) plonked on me as soon as he came out, Gem was holding him when he opened his wee eyes for the first time as well.

Unfortunately there was no night sky to show him.
Only the state of the Glasgow city bypass at 10.30 in the morning.

That wouldn't really have worked.
