DHT on or off

I downloading a few things from public trackers, which I couldn't find anywhere else. In public tracker DHT should be on for best speeds.

But I have few torrents from private trackers also. So will it effect, if I keep dht on? Those private torrents has dht off by default anyways. So it shouldn't effect. But I heard few private trackers ban you if you have dht on. I had once recieved a message on a tracker, I cant remember which.
So any ideas if dht on will have any effect. And what trackers could ban me for keeping it on.

If it won't effect the results no matter the DHT's on or off, then why don't you just turn it off as is told?

Actualty doesn't matter !
DHT or "Trackerless" it's a good feature , cauz it's allowed the down/up even the tracker is down !

DHT on is not allowed on most private trackers coz it tracks and report incorrect up/downs outside the tracker...thats why they dont allow...on public tracker it helps to run ur torrent even if tracker is down

DHT should be turned off when using private trackers. The reason is already mentioned above..

Turn off dht. even when dht is off, some traffic from private trackers sometimes goes through dht. even your passkey will be at danger if you keep dht on.
