Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dylan Thomas.

That's cos you have the mental retention of a hamster. A hamster who has been hit with a mallet twelve times and that now thinks it's a goldfish. A goldfish with delusions of being a stroke victim.

That was three lines but I've only got 4 posts left after this one so I may as well eke them out a bit.

Jebus, your mental retention is worse than I previously estimated.

That'll teach me to be generous with mongs.

Dam is this supposed to be poetry? More like the ravings of a complete idiot suffering the effects of an LSD overdose.

Old Geezer, please leave chalice alone. He's never done anything to you and I hear he's a really nice guy who does a lot of work for charity and stuff.

Please find it in your heart to be a bit more generous in spirit. You'll feel better about yourself. I promise. :)

Dylan Thomas was an alcoholic, actually.

And a wife-beater.

Apart from that, he was a quality guy.

No, he was a cunt. I had to study "Under Milkwood" at school. It was bollocks.

Also John Steinbeck was a cunt (We had to do "Of Mice and Men" as well)

Saying that, I read that when I was 18 and thought I spoke really good English. In reality I probably didn't understand half of the book.

I shall make an effort and reread it and I'll let you know if it is still shite.

Although, if someone has read this and actually knows it is shite; please let me know so I don't waste my time on it.
